This is actually TERRIFYING (at least for me lol). The first night I read it, I took so long to fall asleep because I didn’t want to close my eyes. I kept thinking about my closet and Josh Malerman’s brilliant descriptions of the monster of the book, Other Mommy. The child narrator felt real to me, and made everything ten times scarier because I knew what was going on, but she didn’t!

The -1 star is for the third act of the book. I guess I was expecting or hoping for something else than what I got, but whatever.
