It’s interesting how much at 2x speed Moore sounds like his other namesake Thurston Howe III of Gilligan's Island fame � the deep voices and Northeastern accents are uncannily similar. Very much enjoyed the first half of the book about late 70’s NYC and the early years of SY are also entertaining. Bands and people of that time were exciting � less so after they sign to Geffen and things go, well, downhill creatively. I didn’t pay much attention after Goo and only knew vague contours of the famous divorce but it prompted me to listen to Girl in a Band as well to get both sides of the story and in the end one just walks away with a bad taste about the whole situation. ]]>
