Crescent Kingdom is the first book in the Wolves of Crescent Creek series by Tessa Hale. This series is set in a shared paranormal world from many of Tessa's other trilogies, so if you have read them you will get to see little snippets of character overlap, but you don't need to read the other series to be able to enjoy this one.

Crescent Kingdom's guys feel a little grittier than the guys in the other series. I really liked all of them, as well as our main character Wren. She is fierce and awesome! She is on the run from her evil father, and hiding more secrets than anyone else even knows. When she meets Kingston's pack in Crescent Creek, she tries to maintain her distance to keep her secrets hidden, but she is so drawn to them. When dark mages attack, all bets are off and they are pushed even closer together.

I loved all of the characters! Tessa Hale's books are all super quick reads with fast pacing, so they are great if you are like me and you want to get right into the action and romance. I love that they are all set in a shared world. The ending of this one left me scared and angry and totally desperate for the next book! ]]>

Ali Hazelwood's books never fail to make me fall completely in love. Deep end is the story of a swimmer and a diver, and I loved every second of it. Scarlett and Lukas are such wonderfully complex characters- you can't help but root for them.

And fans of The Love Hypothesis will enjoy seeing Adam and Olive make appearances in the story as well.

I don't even read the summaries of Ali's books anymore before I buy them. She is an auto buy author who never misses.

Deep End is a fabulous read, and I already want to re-read it! ]]>

Love and Other Paradoxes is a time traveling romance that will leave you pondering big questions long after you turn the final page. This book was so interesting and made me feel all the feels. Our main characters, Joe and Esi drew me right in and I was so interested to see how their story was going to turn out.

Joe is a college student just trying to get by. Little does he know that he is a famous writer and poet in the making. Esi is from the future, and she knows how famous Joe will be. But she travels back in time to try and alter the timeline to try and save her mom/family. In doing so, their paths cross and Esi tries to help guide Joe along towards his future.

Time Traveling novels are always so fascinating for me to try and mentally puzzle out. Each action can have such big consequences, and if I think too long and hard about it, I normally end up with more questions than answers, but trying to puzzle it all out and what the butterfly affect of certain actions might be is part of the fun. I did enjoy that about Love and Other Paradoxes.

Overall, this was an interesting read. I did find it a bit slow in parts and it took me longer to get through than I would have liked, but overall I did enjoy this one. If you are a fan of Time travel stories and you are looking for a unique concept, I think this would be an excellent book to check out.

I really enjoyed the premise of this book, but sadly it wasn't for me. I liked the characters well enough, but the story did not hold my attention. I was bored for a big chunk of it and had to force myself through the last 40% of the book. ]]>
