"I did it. I finally read Fallen. But all I can say is: Dafuq did I just read? It was an awful, terrible, disastrous book.
I really didn't know that heroines can be that stupid or pathetic.
I thought it wouldn't be that bad, all these negative reviews... but well, it is that bad.

The plot is somehow off. There's no story going on until like page 400 or something like that. The writing is too plain.

Daniel ignores her, humiliates her, embarrasses her, accuses her of stalking him and yet, yet, she just sticks around him. I really can't describe how naive and shallow Luce is. She doesn’t understand that this guy doesn't want her! If you have won some science fairs and have 4.0 as grade point average, that doesn't make you exactly intelligent. Or rational. Maybe you just are a nerd who swallows words and books and don't use your brain. Which is the case of our dear Luce. So, I guess you know the surprise when Daniel accused her of being the smartest girl he knows. The thing is he doesn't know her, he doesn't truly love her, but the idea of his beloved that comes over and over. It'd make a lot more sense in my opinion. And how can she exactly love a person who rejects her all the time? If that's their idea of love, then, I don't want it.

If he truly wants her safe, he'll go somewhere away from her, away from this school. But no, he decides to stay, take the risk and then claim her knowing she'll die. I think that's definitely selfish. And then, we have this time when she accepts to give Cam a kiss, just one kiss (you know how generous*cough* innocent she is) after making out with her soul mate the day before. Not that only, but when she wanted to know the truth, she thought she could handle it. Yet, she ran away."

"I found the story very confusing, the swirl of bizarre characters dizzying, and the artwork flat. It may progress into something "more," but for me there was absolutely no pull to continue on with this series."

"2 stars. I was disappointed by this one. I didn't hate it, but the art felt very jumbled and it was at times hard to decipher. The comments towards the LGBTQ+ are so 90s and distasteful. Outdated and uncomfy. Also, the incest plot with the main character being obsessed with his sister and her in return- IS GROSS. Probably won't continue on and I'm sad because I thought I would love this manga series. "
