It doesn't make you a bad person to admit you have a touch of darkness inside you. We're all just hanging out together, here in the morally ambiguous quagmire. You don't have to be afraid of the darkness in yourself.

So, apparently I belong to the tiny little group of people who weren't particularly touched by this book.
I've seen reviews praising the writing, the author's style, the twists, the ending, and, honestly? To each their own, but I don't see it. I don't see the appeal at all.
I found the story insanely dull and, even though I kind of liked Daphne's backstory, I hoped it would affect the plot more than it actually did.
And don't let me start about that ending. Jeeeeesus fries, what a mess.
Maybe I'm too picky, maybe I've read one too many creepy psychological thrillers that desensitized me to weird stuff for good, I don't know. I just know that I'm not impressed, but gosh, do I wish I was."
