I'm just so in love with Thatcher + Lyra. I've never met a couple more perfect for each other. This series is just so addicting, I cannot stop. I genuinely think I will read legit anything Monty Jay writes. She is soon becoming one of my absolute favorite authors.

Mannnn.. Thatcher is so beautifully broken and Lyra who is equally broken became his sunlight 😭
Their story is dark + unique but just absolutely beautiful.

I felt like it was slightly predictable with what was going to happen - but either way.. I am obsessed. Scratch that. Addicted.

I just found my top read of the year. Shield of Sparrows is pure, all-consuming magic, both literally and figuratively. This book was absolutely incredible, I truly have no other words. I went into this book completely blind, and I really urge you to do the same so you can experience all of it the way I just did.

This was my very first romantasy and my very first Devney book, and I feel like the course of my life has been altered, I’m being so serious. I didn’t want to sleep or eat, ALL I wanted to do was stay glued to these pages. Devney said it best when she said this book is first and foremost a romance, and god was it beautiful. The banter, the mystery, the magic, the tension, the secrecy, the plot twists—all of it was done so well that I truly could not think about anything else. The world building and character arcs were also just brilliant. I never felt lost and I could picture these characters and scenes so vividly that it made reading all the more intriguing. I don’t think there was a single emotion I didn’t feel while reading this book, and when I say this is a must read, I mean it! I cannot wait for book two and to be back in this world!!
