"I liked it. The ghost/spirit element completely worked for me. It's what made this book at all palatable. Taylor continues her mission to make Black women exceedingly, spinelessly forgiving of unforgivable flaws and deeds perpetrated by White men, and that conjures the ususal disgust and disdain. But that spirit element worked for me on numerous levels. That I loved, and makes me glad I bought this book.

The narrator was a little candy-ish and a little extra at times, with little bass in her voice for the male characters. She wasn't horrible, however, so the reading didn't detract terribly from the book.
