2025/reread: i've seen the movie countless times and is one of my all time favorites but lve never reread the book until now. This time writing and marking up all the pages and feeling every emotion possible. I'll never get tired of this story and definitely need to start rereading this more like I rewatch the movie all the time.

this was disturbing, unsettling, brutal, and gory and such a well written book. this book is almost perfect, but definitely has issues like the glaring fatphobia which felt super unnecessary and such a shame considering everything else was near perfect. a wild ride that takes many left turns

3.5/5 it was so good to be back with these characters after waiting 3 years for this book. i enjoyed the set-up and adored the new characters, however i felt like the plot was a little messy and longwinded even though i ate up these 650 pages still. That ending made me so excited to see what happens next I just know Tracy Deon has something crazy up her sleeve. The wait for book 4 begins now...
