Once again, I accidently read this book out of sequence LOL Despite lack of backstory, I did get the basic gist of what was going on. Not a big fantasy reader but enjoyed it enough to read the other two in the series so I can fill in the gaps and get to know the characters. Mmm, it was very Harlequinish. predictable and I struggled to finish (I skimmed a good portion of the last few chapters). Two srars only. I don't like giving low ratings but this one deserved it.
