"The confession I am about to make may drive some people crazy, but here goes…I did not read this series in order. I randomly came across these books at Little Free Libraries, used book stores, and Goodwill, and I read them as I bought them. This explains how I am just now reading book one. If I had read these books in order I don’t think I would have read as much in the series as I have.

This book did not give me the Charleston vibes that her later books give, and there was way too much descriptive filler. And I did not like the nosey Theo in this book, and she really didn’t have a reason to be investigating. And the mystery was not well thought out. I was skimming the last 75 pages just to be done already. And the funny thing is that this book has been sitting on my TBR shelf for two years!

I have one more book in this series on my shelf that I will read soon, but I don’t think I am going to go collecting anymore books in the series. I may sell off some of the ones that I didn’t like, too. "
