I was SO on board with the premise but no, a bit unrealistic and cheesy. Didn't like that the future timeline dropped massive spoilers about the past. They weren't even subtle. Really ruined the suspense. The point of the future timeline is to investigate the past, so not many questions are left.

If you've seen the movie, it's exactly the same. Normally the book adds a lot of internal dialog and narration, but that isn't the case with this. The movie is pretty much enough, in my opinion.

It's a little bit feminist, I suppose, but I can't say why without spoiling it. It's a cute, enjoyable story.
