Lovely as always.
This is R. Cooper's first published novel and although it's not my favourite by her and the writing isn't the smoothest, I enjoyed it.

5 stars for the second book in the series, too!

This is shaping up to become a wonderful - all time favorites - feel good - series 💕.

I love Anita Kelly's writing style, their amazing queer characters, the beautiful storylines.

This was the second novella in the series, tied only very loosely to the first installment and could be easily read as a standalone.

Aidan and Kai are such loveable and genuine feeling characters, I just wanted to hug them.

Like the first book this, too, covers a short period of time, one snowy weekend and then one afternoon 2 weeks later.

"Oh, I just wanted to hug Keir Brodie and not let go!

I knew I would like getting to know Keir - he's Charles's best friend and I adore Charles, so I knew Keir had to be pretty decent. His failed relationship with Oliver was so sad, and I don't think I'd clicked really about who Oliver actually was!!

Mitch is exactly the character he comes across as when he cameos in the Glyn Harber books, but it was so nice to see more of his relationship with Justin and Tom.

I do feel like I've caught up now on the larger picture of Con Riley's books - the only one's I haven't read are any set in America - and now I'm eagerly anticipating Second Story."
