So I'm giving it 3 stars - it's an easy read and I liked grandma. But why couldn't Lucy remember? Conveniently remembering everything except those few hours. And there doesn't seem to be a good reason why the memory wouldn't come back later.

Also are we supposed to like Lucy and feel sorry for her? Because I found her very irritating.

Also descriptions and actions of Lucy and Savvy are confusing? Like we are repeatedly told Lucy knows how to stand up for herself.

So everyone knows about everyone. But not the police (or their family) and they believe whatever they are told. And why are people not telling police the truth? E.g. whoever felt guilty for not telling the police about Matt. Loved the premise, but the execution was disappointing. All the stories had an intriguing theme, but instead of going deep, I felt like I had read a cheesy rom-com.

Mandy is an idiot of course, but I also don't understand why anyone needed to lie? Everyone wanted the same thing so it was just unnecessary drama. Christopher's story showed promise and I was expecting a clever game of cat and mouse but was left disappointed. Jade's story was boring and once again the unnecessary drama was annoying. I was very interested when I found out about Nick's match but the story was just ridiculous IMHO. Ellie's is the only one I found interesting although I don't see how Tim managed to do all that.

Complete idiots and loons behaving like complete idiots and loons. Even Johnny boy let me down.

I just finished the book and I am actually laughing as I write this review. Except the topic is no laughing matter. But the book is ridonkulous.

Also story could have been shorter. For example Ryan's backstory was useless as it didn't explain anything about Charlotte's behaviour. They don't tell you why the person did what they did. So the mystery remains a mystery.

Also what a stupid reason to lie! In fact, the whole kidnap scene is confusing and never properly explained.
