bookshelves: 2025, horror, ya
The thought of it was intriguing, but the execution left something to be desired. I wasn't sold on the reasoning behind the killings in the cornfield. With a film adaptation around the corner, I hope they change a lot of the story for the film. ]]>

bookshelves: 2025, netgalley, romance
If there's one thing I know about my reading experiences with Kennedy Ryan's books, it's that by the end I'll feel crushed but uplifted. My reading experience of Can't Get Enough was no different. This last book in the Skyland trilogy follows Hendrix, the last of the trio of friends to get her own book. I've loved Hendrix throughout the trilogy and this book just made me love her more.

Like all of Kennedy's books, you get romance but also some hard hitting real life situations. In Can't Get Enough, Hendrix is balancing her very busy career and trying to care for her mother who has Alzheimer's. With the help of her aunt, her mother is still able to live in Hendrix's childhood home. Her father had passed and as an only child, the caregiving for her mother rests on Hendrix's shoulders. Maverick, or Mav, is the perfect match for Hendrix. As someone who is also childless by choice, I loved how Hendrix talked about how society views women like us and how differently we are treated at times. Just because we don't have children doesn't mean we don't love children and/or have love to give.

As with the other three books in this series you can easily read Hendrix's book out of order. If you choose to do that, I still highly recommend reading the other books as they're just as amazing. Kennedy is an auto-buy author for me. As I eagerly await whatever she has in store for us next, I'll be rereading this series and going into her backlist for some amazing Black love.

Thank you to Forever and Netgalley for a copy in exchange for review consideration. ]]>
