What kind of person, upon seeing the charred bodies of children, journalists burning alive, people thrown in the air from shelling, upon seeing the death toll of 52,000+ Palestinians vs less than 2000 Israelis, thinks: "Well, since college kids scare me I just have to read this book by a smarmy racist about how actually the country which every independent human rights organization accuses of genocide, can actually do no wrong, and also, those dead kids deserved it" ]]>

On Democracies and Death Cults by Douglas Murray
"A gay neoconservative with white supremacy leanings who fervently hates Islam spouting propaganda for Israel. How anyone with an ounce of integrity or introspection could take this “book seriously and support his “arguments is beyond me. If you’re a Zionist who believes Palestinians are subhuman and not deserving of life, this is perfect drivel for you and your ilk. Zero stars. "

This was like the pinnacle of "cozy mystery". A ragtag bunch of british old people using their free time to solve murders. ]]>

right... previously I thought they just tried to overthrow Castro cause he was a bad scary commie, and I knew about Containment and proxy wars but I for some reason thought only the KGB did evil shit and the US was always the good guy (funny how they want us so badly to idolize the US). It was only very recently, not more than like a year ago that I learned about Chile, Guatamala, Iran, the Congo, etc... and I was like god damn no wonder "socialism always fails" ]]>
