Getting in to storyline not covered in the anime yet. Pacing wise, it feels like it’s flying by. I wish the scenes were a bit longer (as they are in the show). Some panels are confusing without color/motion, but I still love how much there is to look at. Given this by a friend so I gave it a shot, but I'm not that into short stories and these were so out there I couldn't get into them. Read 3. Ugh I loved this. It’s intriguing, funny, emotional, thought provoking, and original. The biology science/magic based world is so interesting. The tension in this one between the incompetency of the Yarrow monarchy and the functional might of the Empire is fascinating. Can’t wait for more.

“What are we, if not instruments of service to one another?� might be my new moto to live by.


Minor spoiler:
I love Din - he’s somehow a buttoned up, prudish, rule follower with zero sense of humor and also the best lay in all the land. Din’s love sick/big dick disaster energy had me laughing.
