The way this book is written is so poor, amature and low quality but i think that's just a translation thing. It is fast paced but at the same time the plot flows really slowly. It was short, but it felt longggg, Da-on as a character is like another manifestation of Pip from A Good Girl's Guide to Murder which is for sure annoying. This book is so pretencious and tries too hard to be high literary fiction dressed as a mystery. Taerim and Jeongium are horribly confusing when it comes to their characteristics and motivations in the story and their actions don't make sense. It's a detective novel but who's the detective? Idk, no one has any idea how this book is supposed to be read, other reviews here can agree. Its structure is too vague and imprecise that there's no cohesive story to follow, the idea is great, the execution? Horrible. I DON'T EVEN THINK THAT THE MYSTERY IS SOLVED AND SUCCESSFULLY CONCLUDES AT THE END

People REALLLLLLY wouldn't know who's who in this book because there isn't even any indication on who is narrating the chapter and whose point of view the prose is now focusing. The plot was allllllllll over the place and this book DEFINITELY needs editing."
