Whenever I remember the story of the Ramayana how it was told to me growing up, it tends to end after Ram, Sita, and Lakshman return to Ayodhya. I don't think I was ever told about the trial of fire, though I vaguely knew about Sita's time in the ashram (to put it vaguely).

What a heartbreaking story. Sita's love was truly a tragedy to me, and while I definitely didn't understand it at times, the story was pretty heavy handed in that I wasn't supposed to. Neutral thing I guess.

I didn't like the pacing too much. I would have liked more time before the banishment and more time at the Ashram.
