I honestly thought I’d have a problem finishing this, considering the previous ebook I had had the smallest letters. And when you combine the small letters and the overly descriptive writing it gets a bit too much; I felt like even though I read it, it didn’t make any progress. But after six months of starting it, it is done, and the funny part is that I enjoyed the book.

Tandem read it with EoS, and it was my savior.

As I stated in the review of the previous book Celaena/Aelin irks me, so switching between books to read about Chaol and Yrene was relaxing for me, and the book was easier to read which is the reason I enjoyed it a tad more than EoS.

It has been three long years since I finished the previous book and hadn’t picked the next book to finish, and if some other people weren’t reading it at the moment that I felt like I could read this wouldn’t have happened.

I had a bad experience reading the first book for the first time, and since then, I have disliked Celeana/Aelin. When I gave it another shot, I got used to her, and I warmed up a bit. However, not picking up for long, I think I’ve gone back to my first opinion.

EoS was tandem read with ToD, even though it felt like I was reading it for so long (which would make sense since the books are 600+ pages) crossing off the list two books at once was a great move. My buddies enjoyed EoS more than ToD, with me it was a bit of a different case.

As I said, Aelin was not my favorite, so I didn’t enjoy her chapters as much, even though they were good. I loved following Lorcan and Elide as characters new to me, or at least I don’t remember them much. And I adored Manon's chapters; she’s my favorite.

Finished Duality. If nothing else I like how things and characters are connecting. And with that the Dalton case is more interesting, honestly the only interesting thing in this book for me.
