I picked up this book for its quiet, melancoly tone, and that's pretty much the only thing I wholeheartedly liked about it.

Not exactly bad, it's simply not my kind of book. It's long-winded and sadly whimsical, telling its story in a meandering way. It's about grief and love, but in a sort of general "life is hard" kind of way, and I didn't find it particularly insightful or well-written.

I switched from physical format to audiobook about halfway through, which was a good decision. The Swedish audiobook - I tried the English one and hated the narration. Still, it took me forever to finish.

All in all: it was fine. But it did not have what I seek as a reader. Which, I more and more realise, is complex micro interactions between complex characters.
