I understand this is the first in a series and I do think it has potential even though I was not impressed with this first entry. The setting is a good one , the storyline is common and the characters need to be developed more but that will happen in subsequent books.

Thank you Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ and Amazon kindle for the ARC.

Another excellent entry by a Danish author I enjoy reading very much. A complicated case or I should say cases, with the mixture of human emotions and the intricacies of police work. A very detailed explanation of the effects of cyber bullying and in intransigence of activists with fatal results.

Did I mention the perpetrator in this narrative? Oh, I didn’t see this one coming!

A young woman, nine months pregnant, finds herself having an unbelievable day as she shops at IKEA for a crib. The big one hits, an earthquake of all earthquakes and Annie finds herself trying to survive long enough to find her husband.

This is an emotional read as we journey with Annie through the destruction and react to the devastation that has literally flattened this Oregon city. The writing is so descriptive and the emotion just permeates the storyline. Her memories tell a life story all their own and you can’t help but admire her resilience as she searches for Dom, reassuring her unborn child that everything will be ok

This book will tug at your heart and will have an underlying stab at all the ills of the world. The ending..well that remains to be seen.

I wasn’t sure I would like this book when I started reading. Yes, it’s a new Scandinavian series that I just came across, so that was a plus. I found myself not relating to the characters at first and I believe that was because this book was #4 in the series. I just didn’t know the backstory of those involved. But, the story itself, was good if a little choppy and kept my interest going. Although the subject matter is dark, the ending may surprise you.

I plan on reading the rest of the series. Recommended! ]]>

Welcome back one of my favorite series. I’ve missed you and the Monkeewrench gang of computer geniuses.

Another winner with a cast of characters I would love to be a part of and a storyline that will keep you reading long into the night. Enough thrills, chills and surprises to keep the reader coming back for more. I look forward to the next one. Please don’t let it be so long.

I have always thought that the mystery to be solved in this series plays second fiddle to the book’s setting. This new entry is no exception. The authors place the characters in New Mexico settings, and describe them so realistically that I felt I was there.the dryness of the desert.the heat of a blazing sun.the remarkable stark beauty of the land. Plus, the history of the indigenous peoples that made this place theirs aids in the construction of this narrative.

This book is scheduled to be published in June, 2025. I recommend it.
