I started picking up on the villain late into the book. DS Cross is so well written and his character really comes to life. Somehow I skipped this book in reading the series and not quite sure how that happened. I finished this book and realized I was reading the second book in the series. Reading about detectives outside the US and their lack of bravado, but more quiet confidence is a refreshing change. I am glad I read this book before watching Reacher Season 3. I always love reading the book in advance. I love how Reacher points out that not all of his success is skill, but occasionally luck and over confidence of his opponents. I love the twists and turns and trying to figure out if Reacher is right or wrong in his ideas. ]]>
