A Curse For True Love by Stephanie Garber
"4.5

I dreaded and loved finishing the series! It is true I preferred the second book but this one was gold too. I thought everything was well written and developed. What I enjoyed the most, of course, was how everything was resolved one pieces at a time and the multiple point of views (even if I could have done without Apollo’s one.)

—â¶Ä”â¶Ä

I’m so gonna read these quotes again and again:

« Her head hurt and her chest felt hollowed out, as if she’d lost more than just her memories. For a second the agony was so deep and so brutal, she clutched her heart, half expecting to find a jagged hole. But there was no wound. Her heart was still there; she could feel it beating. Yet for a devastating moment, Evangeline imagined that it shouldn’t have been, that her heart was supposed to be as broken as she felt. »

« This pain felt raw, angry—like a scream living inside her that threatened to rip her in half if it wasn’t let out. »

« "Yes, I am a murderer. I enjoy hurting people. I like blood. I like pain. I am a monster, but whether you remember it or not, I’m your monster, Evangeline." »

« "Thank you for doing this," Evangeline said.
"What is the point of having friends if they’re not there to support your bad decisions?" »

« "() I’ve made my decision, Jacks. It’s you. It will always be you, until the end of time. And I’ll fight fate or anyone else who tries to tear us apart—including you. You are my choice. You are my love. You are mine. And you are not going to be the end of me, Jacks." »

« He loved her so much he’d rewritten history. »"

Say You'll Remember Me by Abby Jimenez
"Was this book perfect? No.
Once again, the male MC felt too perfect and a lot of dramatic things happened, sometimes not necessarily for the plot to progress (the earpod thing lost me) and some stuff were too repetitive. Also the ending came way too fast for my taste.

But this story did touch me once again. I cried, a lot. I felt Xavier’s anxiety when his mom called, I felt Sam’s despair about everything going wrong in her life, I felt their love and the fact that they could never end this long distance relationship despite really wanting it. I felt everything. I feel like Abby Jimenez is really good at writing cursed relationships, doctors and trauma.

I truly enjoyed this book but I do come out of it quite sad. The subjects discussed in it were tough and my poor heart cannot take it. I wish I had more time with the characters to feel better but it’s okay, because they’re okay at least!"

The Orange and Other Poems by Wendy Cope
"Wendy Cope’s The Orange and Other Poems is a collection that finds beauty in simplicity, though it leaves a mixed impression as I felt some pieces too simple like they didn’t quite reach the depth or polish I was hoping for.

But then there’s The Orange, the kind of poem that makes you pause and appreciate the quiet joy in ordinary moments. It’s so deceptively straightforward, yet it lingers in a way that makes you want to read it again.

Clearly, Cope has a knack for blending wit with sincerity, and when it works, it really works. Pieces like Being Boring and Men Talking stand out—sharp, relatable, and full of quiet truth. But not every poem hits the same mark. Some felt a little too slight, like fleeting thoughts that didn’t fully blossom. Still, there’s something undeniably charming about Cope’s voice. Even when a poem didn’t fully grab me, I appreciated her ability to find meaning in the everyday.

Overall, the strongest poems in this collection make it a rewarding read, ideal for those who enjoy accessible, reflective, and at times deeply moving verse—though not every piece may resonate equally"
