Wow. This book kept getting recommended to me and I didn't really pay attention but I just listened to it and it was fantastic. It was probably the best audiobook I've read in terms of production, and I devoured it in two days which is very fast for me with audio books. I did figure out what the ending would be a bit early, but that didn't bother me as I thought the entire book was so interesting. 3.75 stars I had read and enjoyed Olive Kitteridge 1 and 2 and when I picked this up at the library I had no idea there were other books, and even prequels to this book. it wasn't until just now when I went to write a review that I learned that. Like the others, this book is well-written. And sad! Very sad. There are a lot of characters to keep track of and if you put it down for a few days you can lose track. Maybe because I am getting older--or because her characters are getting older--I found this read a bit gloomy. Definitely keeps you engaged. It has a lot of twists, but my problem is I read it late so everyone talks about the twists which definitely made me expect and anticipate them, so I wasn't really surprised by anything.
