I really like this narrator.

There were parts of the book in which I was very enthralled � I especially like the relationship between Agnes and Polly. However, the ending was just TOO tied up in a big bright bow which always annoys me. The “everyone lives happily ever after� does not resonate as authentic.

The weak subplot of Robert being jailed (and those odd folks who accused him) really puzzled me.
