It's not for everyone, but it is for me. 😚

I was surprised to see such a mixed bag with the ratings and so many low ratings. I think if you like big helpings of romance with your fantasy then this might not be your thing, but if you can devour a book that's like fully fantasy then yes! It's a heavier read, but it was still SO fun, although that may be the nostalgia talking. I love Kelsea, our main character, she's out here making MOVES.

I noticed the book is tagged both YA and adult fantasy, and I feel like it's exactly between the two. If I had to pick one though, I'd say it's leaning more towards adult.

OK to round it off, read this if you want some good yummy high fantasy (world, magic, horses, royalty, lost princess, war, the whole shebang) and good characters and good vibes but you can the heaviness without romance to stave you off along the way 😭 (although I would argue that Kelsea and the Fetch definitely have a vibe going, like who wouldn't want to be gifted a romantic head on a pike with a cute note? πŸ˜‡πŸ’•) ]]> Rating851022317 Fri, 25 Apr 2025 08:37:55 -0700 <![CDATA[Amna Rahim liked a readstatus]]> /
