I like how the author made the background dreary, gloomy and Alfred Hitchcockish. That being said, this book reminds me of a class b horror movie. A whimisical, class b horror novel. It's two dimentional plot doesnt give me the engrossing page turner I need. Audrey wrote: Mix reviews. It started out slow...built up to peak. I was really disappointed of the psychological aspect of Masako and Sataki's character. Sataki's character came in the middle of book and at a superficial level. While Masakos ring leader tough as nails character developed. It was a cheesy plot twist in the last chapter.
