ISBN: 9960672166 Author: Muhammad Salih al-Munajjid Publisher: International Islamic Publishing House (2005) Pages: 110 Binding: Paperback Description from the publisher: The phenomenon of weak faith has become very widespread among Muslims, and many people complain about the hardness of their hearts. So often we hear the words, 鈥淚 feel hardness in my heart,鈥 鈥淚 do not find any joy in worship,鈥 鈥淚 feel that my faith has hit rock bottom,鈥 鈥淩eading Qur鈥檃n does not move me,鈥 鈥淚 fall into sin so easily.鈥 The effects of this affliction can be seen in many people, and this problem is the cause of every disaster and adversity. One of the most important principles which must be understood in order to treat the problem of weak faith is that faith increases and decreases, or waxes and wanes. This is one of the basic principles of the 鈥榓qeedah of Ahl al-Sunnah wa鈥檒-Jamaa鈥檃h, who say that faith is something to be spoken in words, to be believed in the heart, and to be put into action. Faith increases with obedience and decreases with disobedience.

Want to know about your Imaan? read this book. Want to know the level of your Imaan?? read this book. Want to know what weakens your imaan? read this book. Want to cure your Imaan?? read this book.
Imaan (Faith) can sometimes be up and low. The Prophet saw said, 'Faith becomes worn out inside one of you like a garment wears out, so ask Allah to renew the faith in your hearts'. Hadith al-Hakim.
Alhamdullillah for the opportunity to read this book. It did give me a good reflect on how one imaan can be low and how to boost the imaan. This book will definitely be one of the book that I will reread to regain my imaan, inshaAllah.
The gems in a compact book. When a student of knowledge approaches a book, it either polishes his existing knowledge or amazes him with a new treasure. This book paraphrases enormous amounts of lessons and teachings with strong references to the same. -Alhamdulillah.
~Reading about how the Salaf achieved the qualities of true worshippers is something that fills one with admiration and makes one try to follow their example. For example, they used to complete the recitation of one-seventh of the Qur鈥檃an every day; they used to perform Qiyaam al-Layl even when they were fighting on military campaigns; they used to remember Allaah The Almighty and pray Tahajjud even while in prison, standing on their feet with tears streaming down their cheeks, thinking about the creation of heaven and earth. One of them would lie down next to his wife until she slept, just as a mother lies down next to her child to get him to sleep, then he would slip away from the bed to pray Qiyaam al-Layl. They divided their nights between themselves and their wives, and their days between fasting, studying, teaching, attending funerals, visiting the sick and attending to people鈥檚 needs. In some cases, years passed and they never missed the Takbeerat al-Ihraam (the Takbeerah at the beginning of the prayer) with the Imaam; they would wait for prayer after prayer. One of them would check on his brother鈥檚 children after his brother died, spending on them for years. In this way their faith would increase.
