Things that could have been said in 2-3 pages have been elaborated over into 300 pages. Book in informative, but for a normal reader, the content could have been shortened enormously.

This book is not only outdated to the point that its "breakthroughs" are already well-established in the minds of most people in 2017 (book was published in 2000), but it's also written in a factoid style with very little data to back up its conclusions.
Not a single graph in the entire book or entertainments of contrary arguments, just all click-baity titles put to paper and a cover slapped on it.
Bizarre how this woman is a "New York Times Bestseller."
I made the mistake of not checking the publishing date on this book before reading, which was the year 2000. While there is some good information about vitamins, dosage, and effects on the brain, most of it is outdated and basically irrelevant. Do yourself a favor and find something more current instead.
If you are not familiar with the subject - the book is great. It gives an amazing overview of everything you need to know about food and your brain health. Some of the information is a bit outdated but still - great read.
FISH OIL! this book explains how to keep your brain from atrophying simply by changing your diet. the idea that once brain cells die they are gone for good is a myth of the 20th century! this book reads fast and has concise lists of facts and recommendations, all backed up by scientific studies. totally worth it.
oh, and carper explains the chemistry of the brain in such a way that even i can understand. seriously i recommend this.
Just like Dr. Andrew鈥檚 Book, this one shows that your body (and your brain specifically) is influenced tremendously by the food that you eat. It鈥檚 a fascinating read but I will say that I do not agree one iota with all her 鈥渟tone age鈥 and 鈥渆volution diet鈥 talk. Nevertheless, some good info.
currently doing a self-study course from this book. It is interesting so far...especially to note how men's brains age differently than women! It's worth reading.
I always want to know about actuation of my brain and how to improve my brain. Now I found this book. I hope it's really useful to me and answer to my hope
