Patrick King is a Social Interaction Specialist, in other words, a dating, online dating, image, and communication and social skills coach based in San Francisco, California, and has been featured on numerous national publications such as Inc.com. He鈥檚 also a #1 Amazon best-selling dating and relationships author with the most popular online dating book on the market, and writes frequently on dating, love, sex, and relationships.
He focuses on using his emotional intelligence and understanding of human interaction to break down emotional barriers, instill confidence, and equip people with the tools they need for success. No pickup artistry and no gimmicks, simply a thorough mastery of human psychology delivered with a dose of real talk, perfected and honed through three years of law school.
The book is written in a relatively compact manner and avoids unnecessarily long elaborations or stories. The concepts presented are easy to understand, comprehensible and based on studies from psychology and behavioral research. Chapters are briefly summarized at the end. In part, it is sufficient to read this summary.
Unfortunately, the book lacks concrete references. Sometimes the authors and the year are mentioned, but often not, which makes it difficult to verify the contents. In addition, the book offers relatively little content for the price, since a large font and a large margin were chosen (as is the case with many self-published books on Amazon). The paper and cover quality also suffers somewhat from this.
If you've ever read a psychological or a self-help book - you've already read most of the book. Nevertheless, while some parts could have been more researched, considering the length of the book, most topics are well explained enough.
Easy to read and understand. There are parts where the point is self-explanatory, yet the author still took pains with explaining it as if his target readers are slow learners. There is a summary after every chapter as well as an overall summary of the book at the end. It is good for repetitive learning, but for those who get bored with books being too repetitive then they might find this book a bit tedious with all those repetitions. This is good anyway, and i found some practical tips too.
