Brianna is lost for the fourth time in her life. The first life-altering event occurred when her mother died. The second was when she was kidnapped at the age of seventeen and forced to be a slave. She would never forget those ten months.

Everything changed again the day Stephan steamrolled into her life. That first month with him was, in some ways, more confusing than the prior ten. As a slave, she’d known her place. With Stephan everything was new and different. He’d given her freedom and so much more.

Five months after Stephan rescued her, Brianna once again finds her life flipped upside down.

In this fourth, and final, installment of Finding Anna, Brianna must unearth strength she never knew she possessed. She must learn to trust herself, embrace who she is, and discover who she wants to be. Only by facing her demons can Brianna find true happiness and peace.

It is an interesting series. It is not what I was expecting, but I liked it.

I am glad I read this series. Very little happens in each book, and yet it evolves. The developvent goes slowly and in a monotonous way, but this is a good thing. In fact, that sameness, that repetitiveness is what diferenciates it from other books. It gives the series its own personality, you come to expect the routine and it is gratifying.

I can't deny either that I am conflicted morally about the things that go on here. And that feeling of conflicted conscience adds on to the appeal of the story. Is this right or not? Is there really harm?Would it have been better for the parties involved to have follow the current morally accepted society rules? I don't know, maybe, maybe not. It is what it is.

Finally, Some Peace For Brianna

This fourth, and final, book in the series shows Brianna finally facing her fears and taking a more active role in her recovery. I really enjoyed watching her grow in this book. Despite the crippling terror she still fights with, she was determined to persevere. As much as I hated her separation from Stephan, I was glad to see her taking control for a change, making any decision and seeing it through.

Eventually, after a lot of bad, Brianna gets some good in her life. At times the progression seemed slow, but I enjoyed every minute of this story. Great series!

DNF . Don’t Hate me Please

There needs to be a HUGE disclaimer for this book. First off, I love the Finding Anna Series and I love Sherri Hayes. Sherri is a great writer and is simply adorable, so it PAINS me to label Trust as a DNF. My disclaimer comes from my change of taste. I can honestly say, The Finding Anna series was one of the first BDSM / Slave novels I’ve ever read. Just think of a little shy Asian girl, reading taboo smut book for the first time. It was a shocker for me! So now that it’s almost two years later, I’ve had *cough* broaden my horizons.

I am not sure if Ms. Hayes should have changed her tone as she progressed throughout the series or maybe (and more than likely) I’ve changed as a reader.

I love this series, I really do, but the following will be reasons why this novel did not work out for me at the 65% mark.

My review up to the 65% mark

First off, Truth was TOO LONG! Truth was the length of two full novels. This was not necessary. I felt like the first 30% of the novel could have been edited out.

I didn’t care for a lot of things. I didn’t care for Cal. I thought he was too obsessed with Anna for someone who was already in a committed relationship. It was just a little hard to believe.

What happened to the BDSM? The BDSM may be written in the latter half of the book, but I think that is just too late. I wanted a semi-dark read.

What happened in Anna? I thought by now, Anna would have grown up and kind of toughen up. No, she doesn’t cry as much as had, but she still freaks out over the littlest things. Like when someone asks her a simple question, it makes Anna and me go crazy.

I’ve read a lot of captive books, where the girl is held for years. But a lot of the time, the Heroine comes out kind of normal or not as crazy. For someone, Anna, to be held for 10 months does not warrant that type of behavior. She acts like a little child and seems to not be able to do the simplest tasks. I get that she was abused, I get it. I do, but compared to other Heroines in other books, it just doesn’t relate.

There’s too much dialogue revolved around eating. It’s a silly issue to bring up, but it was made so apparent that I needed to address it. I felt like there should have been other events for people to talk other than having a meal. It’s like all they do is eat! I don’t care if so and so wakes up at 9:30 and has breakfast, just go to the heart of storyline and dive in. All that extra scene build-up isn’t necessary, it makes the book long and very tedious. Yes I did skim.

The two main characters separate for more than half the book. This is my most MASSIVE pet peeve. I don’t think I’ve ever given a five star review if the characters are held apart throughout the read. I didn’t understand why it was (yet again) necessary for this. I think it could have been a minor thing, like 10 % and then we move on to the good stuff.

I am not sure if I would label this a YA or NA, but it’s not sexy. By the forth book, I wanted romance! I wanted Anna to be stronger, to get more open minded about the BDSM world. I wanted the two really open their relationship and give me what I’ve been waiting for! All the extra stuff, like the bad villain, well that could be written in too.

And maybe everything did change and happen after the 64% mark, but by then, I’ve gone tired.

All I got was just excess verbiage related to daily actives about a girl who is clearly has a lot of annoying problems. I just didn’t get it and I am so sad to say this, but this is my honest opinion.

Don’t hate me.

Fabulous end to the series. I don't want to give too much away, but it's a joy to see Brianna's journey, and her progress from the first book. Stephan is always wonderful and here we see how much she supports him, as well as the other way around. Mysteries are solved, comeuppances gained, and conflicts abated. Loved it. Well done, Sherri Hayes!

The lovely conclusion to a whirlwind rescue showcases a broken Brianna and a persecuted Stephen. This title is perfect for this book. The theme is all about trust. Who do you trust? How does one learn to trust again after a horrific event leaving a person scarred for life? Brianna must now grow a pair to face her sadistic torturer. Since she's not capable of functioning without Stephan holding her hand, this is going to be difficult.

I'll be honest; this book is not for me. I like the author a lot and it's interesting to see how she portrays BDSM in these stories. This is why I read the book. The BDSM is very light. The amount of hatred against BDSM in all four books is a bit overwhelming. It leaves a reader in the lifestyle feeling as if a shower is needed to cleanse oneself of all the mudslinging. Ms. Hayes spends a good amount of time portraying how those in the lifestyle are judged and discriminated against. The number of characters against the BDSM lifestyle and their actions at times overpowers the essence of this story. The real story is about Stephan and Brianna's budding love and building of trust. This is undercut frequently by spiteful characters.

The extremes in behaviour from many of these characters, Cal, Stephan and Brianna illustrate how young each of them are in the story. Cal is a bit of a paradox in the sense where he is very mature for his age and takes on a lot of responsibility yet his emotional responses tend to be exaggerated. While many females may coo over his protectiveness. And many may sigh with love regarding Cal's protectiveness, as an independent woman, I find them to be overbearing and patronizing. Stephan is definitely less patronizing than Cal. He at least listens. Cal is roughly 2 to 3 years older than Brianna. At the age of 21 or 22, he seems to think he knows it all. Ms. Hayes captures him perfectly for a child of this age thinking they know everything and trying to force everyone into their idea of what is right and wrong. I knew that age quite well and I'm glad I've grown up and learned better. What I liked about these two males is how Brianna finally speaks up. What Cal does to her is basically disrespecting her choices. Once again, her power is being stolen from her and he doesn't ever fully realize this. His intentions are good; he just doesn't realize he's part of the problem.

Brianna in this story still doesn't impress me much. I need to keep reminding myself she is only 19 years old and lived a completely sheltered life. It is easy to see why everyone wants to make decisions for her because she behaves as a child of 3 or 4. She is nearly catatonic. While it works for this story where Stephan's brand of D/s helps heal her, in reality, don't try this at home. BDSM as a method to heal mental issues is rare. It doesn't address the root of the problem even if it may help to alleviate the symptoms.

One of the main reasons why I have difficulty with this story is why Stephan goes to such great length to help Brianna. He commends her to be strong and courageous. Our definitions of these two words do not coincide. I see a weak, dependent, scared little girl. Her one outstanding skill is her ability to cook. She is more high maintenance than I'd ever want to deal with. My lack of love for Brianna aside, the relationship dynamic between Stephan and Brianna is quite sweet.

My favourite interaction between the two lovers is how they calm each other down. Ms. Hayes does a wonderful job using vivid imagery and incorporating several of the senses to show how two people can merge to be the missing pieces for each other. I loved it. It makes me yearn for this kind of connection.

Overall, this is a smoothly written story as to be expected by Ms. Hayes. The characters are consistent with the first three books in this series. The conclusion is satisfying even if it is a bit too easily resolved. Recommended for New Adult readers who enjoy a star crossed lovers theme.

Holy Hades where to start with this review..... If you have been following this series it has been one roller coaster ride. I mean I hate cliff hangers sometimes but each one left me wanting no needing more. This is a story that can happen to anyone at any time. Sex slaves are a reality and some chose the life but others like Anna do not get that chose and are sold to pay off a debt. Sherri gutted me with each book because I thought OMG things have got to get better for Anna and they started to but then things took a crazy turn and now in this final installment of Finding Anna we get to see what happens to Anna when she is faced with making her own decisions and the choices she will make.

Anna is staying with Cal and Jade. I love Cal because he has the right idea about protecting Anna and he is willing to do it at all costs and no matter what he will keep her away from harm. But the thing is Anna is depressed and she misses Stephan something fierce that she needs him. But Cal is keeping them apart and when Anna tells Cal she needs Stephan Cal makes a deal with her. If Anna goes to a counselor and talks to the counselor she can see Stephan.

Anna agrees and at first she thinks the counseling is not really working but she soon finds herself healing and getting stronger by the day. When Cal sees this he reunites Anna with Stephan and Cal finally sees that they were meant to be. Yes they have a lot to work out but together they make a whole piece and no one can take that from them. Will they get their happily ever after or will Anna remain broken.

This series gutted me because it was so real that it had me thinking I am going to keep a very close eye on my daughter. This is a must read series and Sherri please give me another series like this because I need it!

My Review

So many of you know I’ve been a fan of this series since I read Slave two years ago!!! Since then, I’ve reread this series many times and have shared it with many of my friends. If you have not read this series, go and grab it now! It is worth it!! Books 1-3 were all 5 stars for me!

And then… book 4 was released yesterday! I quit blogging and went straight to reading! I was up until 4:15am reading this book!

The book starts where the last one left off, Anna has just left Stephan in an attempt to decrease the likelihood of him getting into trouble with the Feds since they just became aware that he bought Anna! Oh shit! That was my first thought when I read the end of book 3!

This book follows the emotional legal battle that the two of them face now that the world is aware that she has been a human traffic victim. Stephan is a high profile public figure which only adds to the media’s desire to dig up dirt.

How will Anna handle not being with her Dom? How will she be able to cope without the one person who has been able to help her find peace after being isolated by her fears? Can she move on without Stephan?

SLIGHT SPOILERS!!

OMG!!! My heart just kept breaking over and over for this couple! For Anna to spend 2 months with minimal eating and socializing after leaving Stephan! UGH!!! That is not what I wanted for them! I wanted the feds to leave them alone and realize right away that Stephan was perfect……but of course that didn’t happen.

I was not surprised by Cal’s continued hatred of Stephan but I was surprised by how supportive Jade was of the situation. Moving in and taking care of Anna…. Without any jealousy! I give Sherri two thumbs up for that. I’m tired of reading about how other women try to bring the other woman down. And then when Stephan’s first submissive shows up and then stays with Stephan.. I loved how she was supportive of their relationship and was not trying to get Stephan back.

I’m glad that Anna was pushed into therapy. I, however, was not impressed with the way the therapist handled Stephan. Actually… I wanted to reach through my iPad and slap her!!! Extremely unethical for her to do that, knowing how Anna feels about him. But she did eventually see Stephan for the loving, caring and protective man that he is. She even commented on not understanding them and how in tuned they are with each other. I felt like Stephan did more therapeutically for her than her actual therapist. I even made the comment, “I think he has a psych degree lol.

Now on to Stephan…… he’s perfect! He is my dream boyfriend! He was dominant, controlling.. but not overboard, in touch with his feelings, patient, listens, put your needs first, and HOT!!!!!! What more could you want. I even posted him as one of my top book boyfriends today. I don’t think Sherri could have written a more perfect man.

I have spent a lot of time reading the third books of trilogies lately, and I have been increasing annoyed with authors. There have been several books where I felt as though the book was written just to make money. No angst. No climax. No plot. But this was not the case for this book! There was all of this and more! This is why this series sits on my ALL TIME FAVORITES LIST and has been reread several times.

I was going to do favorite quotes and more…. But I want you to read this book. I want you to experience it the way I experienced it. It is full of raw emotions, passion, lust and love. I don’t want to spoil that for you! Grab the book and then come discuss it with me!

I've been a huge fan of this series ever since I first read Slave a couple of years ago so I'm sure you can imagine how much I've been looking forward to reading this final instalment in the series. I was almost scared to start reading this book though, I had such high expectations and I was worried that it might not live up to them. I have to admit that this wasn't my favourite book in the series but at the same time I thought it was a fitting end to the series and I'm happy with the way things have turned out for Brianna and Stephan.

At the end of Truth Brianna was forced to move out of Stephan's house to protect him from any legal issues that might arise from the way he rescued her from Ian. Even though he did it to save her he did technically break the law by "buying" her as a slave, we all know that he did it to set her free but it doesn't look quite so innocent to the police officers who are investigating Brianna's case. As much as I understood why Brianna had to leave I have to admit I was disappointed that they spend the majority of the first half of the book separated. We are also introduced to a new character who reappears into Stephan's life while they are apart and to me it felt like she was just added to cause more drama - I knew from the moment we met her that she would just end up causing trouble for him and Brianna. Thankfully the drama wasn't as bad as I was expecting but I still felt that it was needless and I would have preferred for that part of the storyline to be skipped so we could focus more on Brianna's recovery.

Brianna had started to gain some confidence in Truth so it was sad to see her take a step backwards in this book. It was completely understandable though and since she had come to rely on Stephan for everything it was a good way of forcing her to learn to stand on her own two feet a little more. As painful as the experience was for her I think it did her some good in the long run. I was also extremely pleased that Cal and Jade pushed her into getting professional help. There is no way that anyone who had been through the things Brianna had would make a full recovery without help and one of the few things that had irritated me about Stephan throughout the series was his refusal to make her see a counsellor so I was cheering when Cal and Jade took that step.

The book really picked up for me at the point where Brianna and Stephan were able to spend time together again. I'd missed the interaction between the two of them for the first half of the book so it was good to see them back as a couple and moving their relationship forward. I have to admit I'd expected her role as a submissive to play a larger part in the final book but it was actually good to see that Stephan had no intention of pushing her into anything she was uncomfortable with. Another thing I really appreciated was getting to see Ian punished for his role in Brianna's slavery. It took a lot of guts for Brianna to stand up and say exactly what he'd done to her and I was proud of how far she has come since the beginning of the series.

Trust tied up all the lose ends from the previous books and gives us the chance to see Brianna move towards the future that she deserves. This has been a fantastic series that completely captured my attention from the first book and I'm actually sad that it's over, I know I'll be reading again in the future though!

Wow... Loved it...
it's a joy to see Brianna's journey, and her progress from the first book

Such a great ending to an emotional trilogy. I am always so sad when a series comes to an end. I just get so attached to the characters. Any chance for a spin-off 5 years later?? I wish it continued. Beautiful story of one overcoming a painful past. And facing her fears in a horrible man.

This series has put me through so many wild emotions. Starting out Slave was one of the first books that I had ever read with the sub/dom and even rescue element. And it rocked my world and my emotions of love and anger were reeling for days. This book didn't quite hit that high mark, but the author tied up the endings for the most part smoothly.

Minor spoilers ahead.

*** Warning ! Spoilers everywhere, don't read this if you hate spoilers!***

I used to loved this series, seriously, I did. I put too much expectation for this one to end good and make me happy and satisfied.
But...

"That's not love, that's dependance"

I couldn't agree more with Cal at so many points. Stephan built dependance to him. Brianna was too, what, most like a pet to him.
He said he loved her, why didn't feed her and let her be herself?
Or Stephan's life is all about D/s 24/7? And he need a pet instead of a love one?

I thought, I saw hope of a healthier relationship between these two people, after the separation.
But all I can see was Stephan became lame, and too stupid to let Sarah lived with him.

Of course he can't counter all the assumptions according his relationship with Sarah, whatever reason he gave the press, Brianna and everyone. You know Stephan, assumption is a mother of all fuck up! And you just made it happened by 'inviting' a very pregnant Sarah to live with you., alone.
That was double stupid!.

Seriously, I disliked Stephan until after more than 50%.
His explanation to Brianna seemed like an excuses than explanation and forgiveness!
To me, I saw Stephan was cheating on her (even he never slept with Sarah and cancelled 'to play' at the party,, but still...)

On chapter 26, when Stephan "explained" to Brianna, I can lose my temper a little...but until the end, even they're finally made to their HEA, I felt there's still something wrong with their relationship.

I really did want to like this final installment, but it seemed I disliked it at so many points.
Mostly Stephan.
He's still my sweet Stephan, but I saw him like a fallen angel, and he didn't really 'know' what he was doing to win Brianna back. Instead, he made so many stupid decisions about their lives.

I'm so sorry, this final book failed me. Big time.
I'm so fucking disappointed that Stephan had to be like this. He's not 'my Stephan'. Somebody killed my Stephan!
I think, I read about a different Stephan in this book. This is so NOT him. Nope!

I think this one is a different book...(I'm still on denial)
Whatever!

Note : The two stars is only for an Epilogue, not for anything else.
and honestly , I only like Cal of all the characters , he's the only one who have an healthy mind.

Trust is the fourth book in Sherri Hayes Finding Anna series, which follows the same couple throughout as they navigate Brianna finding healing for the horrific abuse and human trafficking she was subjected to with the help of Stephan, the Dom who saved her from that life. This book opens about two months after the events of the previous book in which Stephan was placed under investigation by the FBI for buying Brianna’s freedom from the man who enslaved her, which led to Brianna selflessly leaving him to help protect him. Ever since, she’s been living with her childhood friend, Cal, and his girlfriend, Jade. Right from the opening pages, it’s obvious that both Brianna and Stephan are miserable without the other, but they have no choice but to remain apart until Stephan is no longer under FBI scrutiny and the media frenzy has died down. After making a deal with Cal, Brianna finally agrees to see a therapist, which in Stephan’s absence, helps her to continue to make progress in putting her life back together. Although terrified of facing her abuser in court, she’s willing to do so if it will help clear Stephan’s name and keep him out of jail. It’s not until about a quarter of the way into the book that Stephan and Brianna are able to finally see each other in person again, but not long after, a misunderstanding about Stephan’s ex staying with him stirs up a bit of trouble. Eventually, though, all is forgiven and circumstances change, making it possible for them to reunite for real. However, after spending time with family and friends over the holidays, the specter of her abuser’s trial hangs heavy over Brianna’s head, when it looks like she’ll have no choice but to testify or possibly see him walk.

Brianna has made great strides since the first book where she was so timid and fearful she was practically afraid of her own shadow. Admittedly she’s in a bad place when this book opens, deeply depressed over the forced separation from Stephan. It was hard to see her like this, but given all that she’s been through and that the one stable constant in her life was unfairly taken away from her, it’s totally understandable. Although she begins to have a few doubts when she finds out about Stephan’s ex living with him, she ultimately still trusts him when he’s finally able to tell her the whole story and make appropriate apologies (not to worry, there’s absolutely no cheating involved). Although Stephan is wary of therapists, Brianna finds some solace in her counseling sessions, which offers her someone to talk to besides Cal and Jade. Once she’s able to reunite with Stephan, her moods improve dramatically, and she’s able to enjoy the holidays with their friends and Stephan’s aunt and uncle. The thought of having to testify against her abuser terrifies her, but if it comes to that, she’s determined not to let him win. Brianna also begins making headway in her relationship with Stephan, slowly warming up to some of the milder aspects of his BDSM lifestyle. Overall, I was very impressed with how far Brianna has come since her early days with Stephan and how much farther she progressed in this book. She may still be outwardly quiet and fearful of certain things, but she has an inner strength that would be easy for outsiders to miss. I’m so glad that she has Stephan who sees all of that and never fails to compliment her on it even though she often doesn’t feel strong and that she has been able to make friends who also support her as she weathers through the turmoil in this chapter of their story.

In the beginning, Stephan is nearly as downtrodden as Brianna over their separation. The only thing that keeps him going is his work and the hope that one day soon, things will change and they’ll be able to reunite. In addition to his friends, Logan and Lily, his ex, Sarah, comes for a visit to offer her support. Due to certain circumstances that come to light, Stephan offers her a place to stay at his condo, but it’s purely platonic. He only wants Brianna and isn’t tempted by Sarah in the least. However, his naive failure to tell Brianna about Sarah’s visit leads to a bit of trouble for our lovebirds. It’s a rare misstep from Stephan who usually tends to be very controlled in every aspect of his life, but at the same time, I thought having him make a mistake only made him seem more human. At work, Stephan continues trying to ferret out the person who embezzled money from the Coleman Foundation. After he and Brianna are able to reunite, they share lots of quality couple’s time, including holiday festivities and plenty of sexy fun times. But the possibility that Brianna will have to testify in court weighs heavily on both of them. Stephan is an amazing dreamboat as always. He may be a Dom but he’s also a sweet, teddy bear who’s kind, gentle, and patient. He takes care of everyone around him, including his employees and the people he helps with his philanthropy work. I especially love how he cares for Brianna and would do anything to protect her, but at the same time, he allows her to make her own decisions. Even if he doesn’t like or agree with them, he respects them and her, frequently offering her praise and encouragement. I always come away from reading one of these book with no doubt that Stephan’s love and belief in Brianna is in large part responsible for her making such strides in her recovery.

Once again, I was blown away by this installment of the Finding Anna series. I’ve adored Stephan and Brianna together since the beginning. They have such a beautiful relationship built on, not just love, but also mutual trust and respect. I’ve had no doubts about their rightness for one another, and with each one of the books in this series that certainty only grows stronger. I was impressed with how much Brianna progressed in this book and just know that she’ll continue to grow as time goes on. I adore Stephan who has definitely earned a spot among my favorite romance heroes. He just always seems to intuit what Brianna needs and is more than prepared to provide it. I was happy to see resolution to both Brianna’s relationship with her father and with the greater story arc concerning her ex-slave master. I can honestly say that he got what was coming to him. That being the case, this volume wrapped up nicely with no cliffhanger ending like the previous books. Based on the cover blurb and the way in which the epilogue of this volume seems to bring some closure to much of the story, I’m guessing that the author originally intended Trust to be the end of Stephan and Brianna’s journey. However, since I’m a little late to the party on this one, I already know that there’s an additional novella and a novel with more story for this favorite couple of mine. Based on something Ms. Hayes said in one of her recent newsletters, I believe that she has plans for even more down the road, too, which makes me a very happy camper indeed. I can’t wait to share in more of Stephan and Brianna’s lives together. I’ll be interested, though, to see whether it picks up after the main body of this book or after the events of the epilogue, because I certainly wouldn’t mind seeing all that was relayed in the epilogue play out in a longer, more detailed format.

Note: I'm classifying this book as an erotic romance, mainly because of the underlying BDSM themes. There is a small amount of explicit language, but only one scene that includes light bondage, sensory play, and use of sex toys. So overall, the sexual content in this installment, while slightly steamier than most mainstream romances is still mild when compared with most erotic romances.

I really enjoyed this final book in the series. After Truth, I was devastated and happy at the same time because of Brianna's journey into becoming more independent and knowing what she wanted. She loved Stephan enough to do the right thing even thought it affected her in ways she couldn't even comprehend. It was hard watching her get through it and deal with her anxiety while living with her choices. People rally around Brianna to help her, but in the end, Brianna has to decide what she wants. Amazing. So proud of her and how strong she is. People see Brianna as controlled and weak, but she is stronger than even she realizes and pushes herself to have a better life and deal with the past.

In this final book, I feel Sherri has done a fabulous job in being realistic with how Brianna's life has gone after all she has went through. PTSD is a real issue, whether it is a lifetime of abuse, a traumatic experience for 10 months or something that happens in 60 seconds and changes your life forever. Everyone dealing with PTSD tends to have their good days and bad days, and if we are lucky, as I am and Brianna, we have loved ones who support us through. They know when to push, hold or just walk away.

Brianna is doing the best she can with the hand she was dealt. Stephan loves her and she loves him and together, they make it through. They complete each other and it is wonderful.

I so love this story and am sad to see it end, though so very happy with how realistic and honest the author portrayed the PTSD and how hard it can be just to get through everyday life. The fear and anxiety is hard to overcome some days, but with the help of friends and loved ones, it is possible. Brianna is lucky to have people in her life that accept her for who she is and realizes she will forever be haunted, but can live a wonderful life as well.

Kudos Sherri for this lovely story...now, what is next!?

3 I love Stephan Stars!!

Ahhh I don't know where to start with this one.I was really looking forward to it since I loved the rest of the books in this series but it seems like this one didn't quite live up to my expectations.I think this series should have finished in book 3 instead of it ending in a cliffhanger. The start of this kind of dragged, a little slow for my liking.I always hate when the main characters are separated but this was excruciating I just felt like wtf! Where are the awesome Brianna and Stephan scenes which I love? I was just like flipping pages thinking oh someone stop me when they are together..okay I didn't really do that but oh boy was I tempted!!

I would still recommend this series! Its just such a brilliant series about a slave, a victim of human trafficking who has been saved and needs to start building herself up again with the help of her hot, sexy savior Stephan! I absolutely adore Stephan and always will he was so patient and loving *sighh* all the things I could say about him..the list is endless.

I skimmed the sex.

Me.

I skimmed the sex.

So what happened?

By about 40%, all I wanted to know was what happened at the end. There was no sex. And then I started to get irritated by the story. The book is too long and I just wanted to know if she'd testify and Ian would go to prison. Instead, things happened that I felt were a cop-out. I don't feel like this is how the book should have ended given how wonderful the first two books were. There wasn't really any tension anymore, and what there was ended up being stupid. An additional character we'd known of from the past introduced into the book and that was completely unnecessary. It caused false tension. Tension that was added just because. It felt as if the author knew Anna and Stephan needed some additional issues in their lives, as if they'd not had enough, so she thews in a new person to shake things up. It was so obvious and poorly executed I wanted to stop reading. I did continue on, but I skimmed. And yes, I skimmed the sex because it was also boring.

I'm really disappointed in the conclusion of this series. I'm not sure I hated it, because it normally takes much more for me to really hate a book, but I know I didn't like it. I feel badly and I'm bummed.

3.5 Stars

Anna progressed more in this book. I was glad to see that she felt anger at Stephen for the secret he was keeping from her. It showed me that she progressed somewhat or at least understood that the man was not perfect.

The scene where Stephen sees Anna in the hotel room after not seeing her for 4 months was very well written. I also think the author did the right thing by opening the book with Cal’s POV so the reader understood his hatred for Stephen.

I do not understand why Stephen helped his ex-sub, Sarah. I think if a certain situation was reversed, he would not be as forgiving as Anna was. His uncle was right some of his decisions are so ridiculous. There was some drama concerning that whole issue, but very quickly resolved. No much happened. Every situation or problem that came up was quickly resolved.
I was hoping for a different epilogue. Maybe not a little bit further in the future.
SLAVE was my first dark read in the summer of 2012. I loved it and 4 books later I am saw all these characters help and find each other.

What an end to a wonderful love story. I loved it. I couldn't get enough!!!!! It was heartbreaking and so intense and so so HOT. The writing was so good that I actually felt what Brianna went through. I'm equally happy and sad that this story had to end.

A Team Review:

This is the final book in the Finding Anna series, and we at last get to see whether, after the events of the previous books and now their separation if Anna and Stephen will experience their well deserved HEA. Angela and Suzanne read Trust, so we decided to twist it round a bit and interview the reader regarding their thoughts on this book:

Describe this book in three words

Angela: Hardships. Heartfelt. Empowering
Suzanne: Heartbreaking. Uplifting. Intense

What did you like about Trust?

Angela: It has been a long journey for Anna and I’m happy that she finally gets her happy-ever-after. She really has grown and healed so much from when this series first started. Ms. Hayes definitely showed bits and pieces on how she gained her independence in this book. I love how the book ended. It’s a long awaited and well deserved HEA.

Suzanne: Seeing how far Anna has gotten since meeting her in the first book was extremely gratifying, she seems really weak and very reliant on others, but when you think about where she has been, you realise what a strong character she is. I also liked how it ended, it was all very neatly tied up.

What did you not like about Trust?

Angela: From the beginning I’ve had some issues with Brianna and Stephen’s relationship. How quick it came to be, and how open they are sexually even after the Brianna’s horrible experience. I often had to step back and remember how old Stephan is and it’s not much difference to Brianna’s age. Also I had to remember what I know of the BDSM lifestyle. I needed keep an open mind to Stephen’s tactics on how to help Brianna heal. Reading this book really pushed me out of my comfort zone.

Suzanne: I don’t know if this is something I disliked per se about this series/book, but Brianna and Stephen’s relationship is not something you will see in most romance books. It isn’t the BDSM aspect, it is about how dependent Brianna is on Stephen, you know that she wouldn’t be able to face the world without him, would probably ended up in a psych ward somewhere and that made me slightly uncomfortable, someone needing someone that much. What saves it becoming creepy is the love and devotion Stephen feels for her, it would be easy for him to exploit her, but you know he would never do that, that he would rather die first.

What were you thoughts about this book and series lingered in your mind once you had finished it?

Angela: Brianna’s experience was the one thing that always lingered in my head. I know her experience is not just of fiction but has happened to many and is very possible to still happen to anyone. I can’t even fathom how anyone can survive such an ordeal. It really is empowering.

Suzanne: Once again, I agree with Ang, Anna’s experiences were truely horrifying and difficult to read about, knowing that it probably has happened in real life and will probably happen again is terrifying and tragic.

What do you think of the series over all and would you recommend it?

Angela: I enjoyed this series a lot. It’s given me a chance to learn more of the BDSM world not just by Brianna and Stephen’s story but BDSM in general. I think readers who enjoy reading light BDSM books would enjoy it. However, I would warn them that there is the subject of rape but in the past tense, in case it’s a hard limit.

Suzanne: I did like the series over all, it had some really slow and I hate to say it boring parts. But, it also had some intense emotion in it and the relationship between Anna and Stephen was wonderful to watch unfurl, even if it isn’t very traditional. I agree with Ang that it is light on BDSM in some aspects, you won’t find lots of sex toys and games in this book, Anna is too broken for that, but in terms of domination and submission, that aspect is very much present in this series.

I haven't felt like this about this series since 'Slave'. Book 1 had the most memorable impact on me and it was the one that made me want to pursue this series. With that being said, I could, but I won't ask for a better ending. It was detailed, just and not what I expected, but surely good enough to call it an end. Bones part ... no more cliffhangers :)

I might not have said it in my reviews of this series before, but I really like that the world of BDSM is no secret tot he main and some minor characters. This is the norm for them and they don't apologize for being who they are. They are confident bunch and I love their show of unity and strength throughout this series and especially towards the end of this novel.

This story was packaged in a lovely bow and left for us to decide on our own interpretation. I, personally loved it. It mixed the old with the new whilst shedding light on a different side of all the characters. If anything I could ask for, it's a word or conversation from Mr. Pierce. His crazy mind intrigues me. His demeanor captures my attention and I really want to know more.

Brianna finally grew a pair of balls and kept the crying to a respectable level. I understood, sympathized and adored her character unlike I ever had. This installment was the only time I didn't have bouts of frustration with her. I believe that is because the characters and story line were moving! I didn't have time to dwell. It was constant, fresh and filled with drama for days!!!

Worry not though, because it still kept its original pace and details. There was still confessional, Stephan and Brianna style, while we continued to work our way up the BDSM ladder. Stephan is surely a competent and educated DOM.

This time, we get a chapter from Cal' s POV. It was never rushed or forced and I believed every interaction, lie and decision. I was actually surprisingly pleased with the ending. Though fair, it still felt a little premature in my opinion. After all, none of them were even 30, by the time we got to the end. I did however understand the notion.

This installment is broken up into sections with different story lines. It was like reading 2 or 3 novellas in one. It was meshed together beautifully! I loved the dimensions and dynamics that were produced. I read the majority of this novel in one day and it felt like a week. That's the emotional drag it placed on me. I say that though in a good way. I was in it with the characters, right till the very end. As I have come to discovered with a Sherri Hayes novel, the ends cliffhanger or not, leave me wanting more. I just wanna stalk these two!!

I have always been a Stephan fan, but I fell in love with him more. He guided us through some difficult times in this series and it was done to perfection. I felt like Anna in those intense emotional moments and he certainly makes me wanna try the lifestyle. Way to go Mack! ;)

I was left on edge a couple times because the drama level in this one was high! While not what I expected, it was everything I needed. Everyone got a piece of the pie. There was no stone left upturned but I still wanted to spend evenings in the living room with Brianna and Stephan. I have grown to love, respect and appreciate this story and all its characters for the role they play.

I can't see me completely forgetting story. It is surely memorable and I am definitely a Sherri Hayes fan! It's been splendid and I am glad Amazon recommended I purchase 'Slave' because this turned out to be a story to remember with characters that will hold a special place for me.

This was an absolutely wonderful end to a gripping series!! I have read and reviewed every book in this series and I am thrilled that they are all out now because I guarantee you won't want to stop once you start this beautifully emotional ride!

I am going to give a brief recap of the previous books so you are not completely lost here....

In the beginning we meet Stephen Campbell, we are not really sure what to make of him except we know that he is a Dom, but believe me, he is a good guy, they best! When a friend contacts him to let him know of a man who he believes is holding one of his so called 'slaves' against her will, he asks Stephen to pose as a buyer with interest in acquiring a slave to see if he can help this girl. Stephen does as his friend asks and when he meets with Ian he immediately knows that Brianna is being held against her will and offers to and ultimately purchases her to get her free and safe. Now I know this sounds shady but Stephen believes he will save this girl, set her up in a safe place and help her get back on her feet and that is the end of it. OMG! That is sooo not the end. Stephen takes Anna home with him and discovers she is completely broken. Ian and his filthy fucker friends beat, raped and humiliated her over and over for months. Now Stephen is not sure what to do but he needs to help her and over time(the next three books)and a lot of judgement from friends and family, Stephen and Brianna fall in love and he helps her, albeit slowly, to learn to live, love and trust again.

When we pick back up in this fourth and final installment we find Anna has moved in with Cal and Jade to try to protect Stephen from being even more persecuted by the press and the authorities. I don't want to give to much of the story away but now that Ian is in custody, word has gotten out that Stephen actually purchased Brianna you can imagine that most everyone has something to say about this. Even Brianna's old friend Cal stands in judgement of Stephens lifestyle and is determined that he has brainwashed Anna and is controlling her. That they aren't really in love, blah, blah, blah.

Now, I am only going to spout off a little here about how nobody should stand in judgement of the life choices of consenting adults. I know people are always going to judge things they don't know or understand but I don't have to like it!! Ok, all done.

The issue I think the supporting characters in the story have here is that it takes them a really long time to come to the conclusion that both parties involved ARE consenting adults and that Stephen, whom even his family knows is a good man, are having trouble realizing just how much Stephen loves Anna. He would give his life for her kind of love.

Everyone does come around eventually in the end and the bad are punished and they Hero and Heroine of our story get the HEA they so incredibly deserve but there is a lot of pain and struggle to get there. I will end by saying again just how much I loved this story and taking this journey with Stephen and Anna. I will also encourage anyone who hasn't read it to definitely pick it up, especially now that the entire series is out!! I promise you'll enjoy this story about just how strong the human spirit can be when surrounded by love, friendship and family!

The Finding Anna series consists of four books, Slave, Need, Truth and finally, Trust. You simply must read the first three books before reading Trust. Otherwise nothing will make sense in the final book. My review is for Trust, but by necessity, I will be focusing on the series as a whole. The first thing you should know about this series is that it is not as dark as it may first appear. Sure there are dark moments, but nearly all of them are in flashbacks. This series is really about survival and recovery. The books are told from alternate points of view, which really helps us get into the heads of both characters.Unlike anything I've ever read before, Finding Anna starts off where other books end. In most books the rescue is the final act. It is assumed that after the person has been rescued, from whatever fate they needed rescuing from, they lived happily ever after. But with Finding Anna the rescue is only the beginning. The real work comes after the rescue. The first book, Slave, tells the story of Stephan Coleman, an experienced dominant, currently without a submissive, who learns about a young woman being kept as a sex slave against her will by a brute named Ian Pierce. This girl is Brianna Reeves. Not seeing any other way to help her, Stephan purchases Brianna from her captor and takes her home with him.He soon discovers just how broken Brianna had become under the cruel thumb of Ian and his thug friends. Being infinitely patient, he slowly brings Brianna back from the edge and helps her rediscover her true self.Through the course of the first three books, we slowly learn more about her history, the culpability her father had in her slavery, the mother she loved, but could not save. And we learn, through her flashbacks, about the horrible tortures forced upon her for 10 months while she was held captive.Stephan is an amazingly patient man, who finds himself caring for her much more than as just another submissive. And Brianna finds that this man who purchased her is not the monster she feared he would be.At the end of the third book, Truth, Brianna makes a sacrifice to help save Stephan. The final book in the series, Trust, picks up two months later. This final book is a very satisfying conclusion to this fascinating series. All loose ends are tied up. All mysteries are resolved. I could not have been happier with the way this book wrapped up their story. If you are looking for a wonderful series featuring incredible characters, hot sex, a hint of darkness, but ultimately a story of survival and overcoming incredible odds, then you really should check out the Finding Anna series. I promise you won't be disappointed.I loved this series, and I loved the final book, Trust. I hope you will love them too.

Well if you thought the cliffhangers for the first 3 books were bad ..... you'll love this ending :)

This book was the perfect way to end this series -
if you haven't read the first three books - get away from this review :)

This book starts off just as the last one left off - Anna is now living with Cal and his girlfriend Jade -

Anna grows stronger in this book - But when she's away from Stephen, she retreats back into herself.

And with Anna gone, Stephen doesn't know how to be happy anymore. He misses her.

Anna tries hard to convince Cal that she loves Stephen, and he's not minulating her in anyway. But Cal isn't going to fall for it.
After awhile, Cal approaches Anna and tells her he would help Stephen if she talks to a therapist. in Cals eyes, that's how he's going to fix Anna.

Anna would do ANYTHING for Stephen. ANYTHING to help him. So she agrees.
Speaking to Dr Pakins isn't what she wants to do, but she does it. She doesn't know how much she should tell her, but once Anna starts to realize that Dr Pakins is trying to help her, she opens up alittle more.

Anna is still struggling without Stephen, but when someone bad mouths Stephen, she's right there sticking up for him.
Jade knows this, and she sees this - and she's ready to help Anna , even if it's not what Cal wants

At the Colman's Fundraiser, Jade and Cal, along with the help of Lilly, arrange for Stephen and Anna to have some time together.

For the first time in 3 months , With Anna in his lap, curled into him, playing with the buttons on his shirt - Stephen can finally breathe again. And he vows right then and there, he is never going to let her go.

Once things start to die down with the press, Anna is able to go back to Stephen -

Their relationship grows stronger as time goes on - The flashbacks are less and less, and Anna is able to discover new possiblities with their relationship.

It's sad to learn this is the end of the series - but I couldn't think of a better way for it to end.
It's been an emotional rollercoster with this series - Each cliffhanger was worse, but there is something about this series that doesn't care - I know this series will always be remembered - The reality of the situation was extreme, and living it through Anna's eyes was hard. I know I'll never forget about Anna and Stephen

Lap time...(sigh)
Trust is the final book in the Finding Anna series. After feeding my addiction through all four books, I'm at a loss as to how to fill the void. Stephan & Brianna have kept my heart racing, my face blushing, and the pages turning as I waited for all the pieces to line up and fit into place. I wanted apologies, retribution, healing, closure, and most of all love with a HEA tied up (wink wink) in a nice bow. This series has been an awesome ride, I loved every loop and dive that made my stomach drop before we started the climb up to experience the next thrill. It is a beautifully written, heartbreaking, emotional journey that I won't forget any time soon. ❤️

A perfect ending to an unforgettable series. Finding Anna books will become a series that will be read over & over. You can't help but get pulled in with the first page. Stephan & Briannas' story is so heartbreaking & beautiful you will fall in love with them from the start. You will feel their pain, joy & frustration. Cry, scream, get so angry, laugh & sigh as you get drawn deeper into their struggle & triumph. This story will linger a long time. What a way for me to get "introduced" to a writer I haven't read before. BUY THIS SERIES. You will be so happy you did.

***What an amazing series. Finding Anna has been one of the most emotional, heart wrenching, harrowing, and yet beautiful journeys I have experienced.***

Since this is the final book of the series, my review is based on all 4. While the story is a romance, ultimately I think its about so much more. We got to watch a victim of human trafficking come full circle. She was so broken in book 1 I did not know if she would ever truly heal, but Brianna did not give in no matter how hard it was she pushed ahead and became one of the most bravest souls I have read about.

While the focus of the series is Brianna we can not forget Stephan. He earned his spot on my "the ultimate hero" list. He is not perfect and definitely makes a few mistakes, but his love and determination to help Brianna is perfection. A lot of people will not agree with his methods or their relationship. However, after everything Brianna has been through I get it. She came out a different person and needed more than time to heal her wounds. Structure, rules, and a lifeline to grab on to.

And finally new and old friends Brianna has made must be acknowledged. Lily and Logan were great. They may have been friends with Stephan, but they both cared about Brianna and I can see them protecting her even from their friend if need be. As for Cal while there were times he pissed me off, I wanted to shake him rather than slap him. He adored Anna as a sister and would have done anything to protect her or at least what he thought she needed. After a small flashback from him in Chapter 1 it seams he is familiar with protecting Anna. Cal and Jade were amazing. They adjusted and changed their lives to be there for her. No matter how much someone cares and wants to help not many people would go through the lengths they did.

Now to end my review. I will say I highly recommend this series. Sherri Hayes has entered my favorite authors list while Brianna and Stephan hold a permanent place in my heart. It is not an easy read. The subject matter is heavy, the struggles were realistic, but watching our broken heroine take baby steps toward the light made it worth it.

am so happy to finally get to read the conclusion of Brianna and Stephan's story. And, I'm a little sad to be leaving these characters, too. (Although I know Sherri Hayes still has lots of great characters to write about!) I loved these two from the start. Stephan, the man who can't NOT do the right thing. Brianna, the girl who will not be beaten. And the friends, whose loyalty and support know no limits. Sounds like superheroes, right? However, these are just regular people living in a Midwestern town who find themselves in an unusual circumstance: the girl-next-door who is kidnapped by a sex trafficking ring.
We see it on the evening news. But we don't see what happens after, how that girl reclaims her life and her true self. That is the journey of Finding Anna. In Trust, she must learn to trust not only the people around her, but also her own self. Likewise, the people around her must learn to trust her to be able to stand on her own two feet again.
This is a heartbreaking story as the journey is not easy for any of them. After falling in love with these characters, your heart breaks for each of them, knowing how each is hurting inside. The addition of Stephan's previous girlfriend to the cast adds a foil, showing how much easier Stephan's road could be. Stephan and Brianna must learn that faith in their love is what holds them together, trusting each to do what is the right thing.
An excellent conclusion that ties up all the plot ends and leaves room for the characters to continue their lives beyond the pages of the books. Stephan and Brianna's love for one another has never burned brighter, as they explore and define their own relationship outside of social expectations and definitions. The side characters are integral to the story development and grow themselves with the experience. Kudos to Sherri Hayes for staying true to nature of a D/s relationship, for portraying accurately the healing process of victims of tragedy, and for raising awareness to an overlooked social issue with full candor.

The final book in the Finding Anna Series starts off where Truth finished, Anna has left Stephan, to protect him and is living with Cal and Jade. She is as one would expect devastated and unable to function without Stephan, spending all her time in her bedroom, barely eating, barely surviving but Anna is a survivor!
Stephan on the outside is able to go through the motions of his daily business and life but on the inside he is heartbroken missing Anna more than is bearable and it takes all his control to do what is required and stay away from her.
In this book we see the journey of them facing the many hurdles and opposition that stands between them being together happily. We also see Anna stand up to her abuser the arsehole, Ian Pierce, as she testifies against him. AMAZING!

I LOVED Anna and Stephan. Anna was so sweet and goodnatured even after everything she had been through. Her strength and courage was unbelievable, what a fighter, and her love for Stephan is just beautiful as is his love for her!
Stephan amazed me and I don't know that out of all the books I have read if I have found a Dom so in tune with the needs of his Sub. He was controlled power, strong, attentive, loving, HOT!
Theirs was a powerful, intense love with a beauty I wasn't expecting to find. What also fascinated me was seeing more of the emotional sides to the Dom/Sub relationship. Seeing how the controls/control that Stephan put in place for Anna provided her with the safety needed to heal.

The side characters of Cal and Jade, Lily and Logan cant go unmentioned, especially Cal and Jade. What they sacrificed and did for Anna showed what amazing friends they were and I am so glad that Cal was able to see how good for Anna Stephan was. An amazing series it is definitely one you need to read!!

I have to admit a certain joy and satisfaction for having arrived at the end of this series, in more than one occasion, it gave me a tangible physical discomfort. Finally, the epic story of Anna and Stephen arrives at its HE with my great joy above all. The saga of the slave Anna has been particular, although the story was very repetitive in many of its parts, I still decided to go through with it anyway and Anna disorder has been largely lightly treated and sometimes it was a little too dramatic, but this is just my vision of history, as a former psychotherapist.
At the very least, I need to recognize some difference from the stories currently mainstream.

What a great series! I loved all four books and anxiously anticipated each one. I am sad that Stephan and Brianna's story is over now. I think that Sherri Hayes did an amazing job wrapping up this series. Frequently I will read the ending of a series and will be left with more questions than answers. That was not so here. I don't want to give any spoilers, but I will say that everything is nicely resolved in the end.

It was amazing to see how much Brianna grew in this book. Brianna had to be stronger for Stephan and when she needed to be she was. Stephan, too, grew. I don't read a lot of New Adult Romances because the characters usually don't grow up and I can't relate. Both Stephan and Brianna grew up a lot in this series, and especially in Trust. Even though I'm older than Stephan and Brianna I could relate and could get into their story (from the beginning). Sherri Hayes wrote their story beautifully. I loved this book and can't wait to read more by Sherri Hayes. She will now be one of my go-to authors. I give Trust FIVE Stars!

I've been looking forward to reading Trust ever since I finished reading the previous book in the Finding Anna series, Truth, and I'm happy to say it was worth every minute of the wait.

It's been wonderful to see Brianna evolve from the deathly afraid, nearly catatonic woman she was in Slave into the happy, strong and insightful woman she's become over the course of four books. And though she credits Stephan, the man who rescued her from the horrible situation she was in, with turning her life around, it's really Brianna herself, with her strength and her resilience, who found the will to trust and love again.

This was a great series, and now that it's over, I know I'll miss catching up with Brianna and Stephan, as well as all their friends and supporters. But it was great to see Stephan and Brianna have the happy ending they so richly deserve!
