I approached this book with high hopes, genuinely excited about this brother's story. While not every book in this series has been a five-star read, I was excited about this one. However, I found that it didn’t quite meet my expectations.

One area that could benefit from further development is the characterization of Blake and Quincy. Their tendency toward self-pity became somewhat overwhelming, which took away from my overall enjoyment of the story. Blake’s struggle with the idea of betraying his brothers for the sake of his father felt a bit extreme. It seems like a missed opportunity for the authors to delve into the complexities of familial loyalty and conflict. Instead, the sudden pivot to trying to make us sympathize with Cesare—especially after portraying him as such a flawed character in previous books—was confusing. Seriously? While I get that the authors want us to like Cesare since his story is next, it’s baffling that we’re suddenly supposed to care just because he’s excluded from the family. It doesn’t add up.

Things took a turn for the absurd after the halfway point. Quincy seemed to lose much of the charm that captivated me in the earlier parts of the story, while Blake’s character appeared inconsistent, changing from chapter to chapter. While there were cute moments between them, the focus on physical intimacy sometimes overshadowed the emotional development that I would have loved to see.

While I believe they had genuine feelings for each other, their love felt rushed and undeveloped. It was as if they had sex and instantly declared their love without any real buildup. I expected more from this book, and I ended up feeling let down.

On a positive note, I truly enjoyed the appearances of Harlow and Benito. They are my favorite couple in the series, and I appreciated their more prominent role in this book.

Additionally, I find the recurring trope of nearly all the brothers having babies to be an interesting choice. And honestly, why? I don't get this trope in MM books; not every story needs to wrap up with a baby for the couple.

yeah this was a total bust. I don’t know why the authors thought bringing a stranger into the family was a good idea but I didn’t vibe with the newcomer, Blake, at all. And Quincy was still a stranger as well.

Every time there was a cameo with the original Vitale brothers I longed for going home with them instead of staying with Blake and Quincy. Up until the end I couldn’t connect to either of them so I couldn’t give two shits about their story.

Anyhow. Rounding up for the moments with the Vitales I know and love. And because anything lower would pain me too much.

"The family you're trying to enter isn't some vigilante group that fights for justice. They take what they want, own what they see fit, and kill anyone who gets in their way."

I was very surprised to see there will be another book and couldn't imagine what that was supposed to be for after this. But finishing here and getting an idea I’m honestly on the edge of my seat to get that story.

@100% ... THANK FUCK! Although I’m a bit intrigued now.

@85% ... please, just End It All. If it wasn't for my love for the Vitale brothers I would dnf the fuck outta this book!

@65% ... just keep skimming, just keep skimming, just keep skimming, skimming, skimming.

@45% ... okay, Blake becoming an active part of the Vitale brothers finally does smth for me.

@35% ... man, I really struggle to connect to anything or anyone here. Is that a me-thing?

@15% ... why the face is this so boring? Not a good sign when I start skimming this early.

Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶.5/5
Format: ebook

"’You go, baby, I go. If I'm dying, I will take you with me. My hand wrapped around his cock, stroking slowly, tracing every vein that lined his length. ‘I can't live without you, and now, I can't die without you either."

Blake. Motherfucking. Vitale. That’s it. That’s the review.

Just kidding. But seriously, when I heard there was a secret fifth Vitale brother, I was skeptical. I liked who we had, I was content with the close-knit group and wasn’t really ready to let anyone invade that.

And then beautiful Blake with his blue eyes and daddy issues and sad boy persona and his love of fire just barreled his way into my heart and climbed to the very top. Sorry, Enzo, but you’ve been replaced.

And Quincy! Don’t cancel me for this, but when Benito was pissing me off in Say I Do, I was lowkey rooting for Quincy and Harlow. But I am so, so excited Quincy held out because he got the best of the best, as he deserves. I’ve always had the biggest soft spot for him, so finding out he was getting a HEA made me so happy.

The spice in this book was the hottest of the series. The relationship was the swooniest and most romantic. Their dynamic was everything. The forced proximity, the one-bed, them sneaking out to take care of each other’s problems, their matching obsession with each other and protectiveness. I just love them so much.

Also the way Blake and Harlow—my two absolute favorite characters of this series—kinda became best friends? OBSESSED.

Please, please, please let the next book be Cesare and Rafael. I need a villain redemption story, even if he really doesn’t deserve it. Give it to me anyway.

*I received a free, advanced copy of this book from the authors and this is my voluntary, honest review.

End it All is the latest entry in the Vitale Brothers saga. This story focuses on the long-lost youngest Vitale brother Blake, who quickly makes his presence known to his mafia family. He quickly learns that his wish of belonging to a family and a sense of connection comes at a cost.

I enjoyed Blake's journey of discovering his family while becoming more secure, confident, and reliant on his brothers. Cesare is another matter, and I cannot wait to learn more about his background. Quincy is the perfect counter to Blake's consistent and reliable demeanor, by bringing forth a whole lot of crazy. Together they have great chemistry while offering support and care for each other.

Overall this was another great entry in this series and it is always fun being back with this hilariously quirky family that stabs first and asks questions later. I cannot wait for the next entry!!!

Blake is a Vitale through & through. I love this little pyro. But I was not prepared for the level of broken boy we got from Blake AND Quincy. These boys are damaged & my heart hurt for them. Having the family all together was so much fun & I miss them already. How long til the next book??? (FRTC)

:: “𝙉𝙤𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣 𝙜𝙤𝙤𝙙 𝙘𝙖𝙢𝙚 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙛𝙘𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙖 𝙑𝙞𝙩𝙖𝙡𝙚.

Finally we meet the mysterious fifth Vitale brother & he is everything I hoped for. Blake is a Vitale through & through even if he wasn’t raised with the family. After getting himself in a tricky situation his mother sends him to seek out his father’s protection but instead he meets the brothers he never knew he had.

"𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙛𝙖𝙢𝙞𝙡𝙮 𝙮𝙤𝙪'𝙧𝙚 𝙩𝙧𝙮𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙤 𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙞𝙨𝙣'𝙩 𝙨𝙤𝙢𝙚 𝙫𝙞𝙜𝙞𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙩𝙚 𝙜𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙥 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙛𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩𝙨 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙟𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙚. 𝙏𝙝𝙚𝙮 𝙩𝙖𝙠𝙚 𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙮 𝙬𝙖𝙣𝙩, 𝙤𝙬𝙣 𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙮 𝙨𝙚𝙚 𝙛𝙞𝙩, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙠𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙖𝙣𝙮𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙬𝙝𝙤 𝙜𝙚𝙩𝙨 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙞𝙧 𝙬𝙖𝙮."

Concerned they can’t trust him, Benito sends Blake to stay with the only outsider they can trust, his husband’s best friend, Quincy. I was nowhere near prepared for the level of broken Quincy is; he broke my heart. He does his best to put an impenetrable wall but Blake finds a way to start breaking it down while Quincy simultaneously breaks down his walls. The two pretty quickly begin to trust & rely on one another without ever having any intentions to.

“𝙒 𝙝𝙖𝙙 𝙟𝙪𝙨𝙩 𝙙𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙨𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙤𝙜𝙚𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧, 𝙨𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙞𝙣𝙨𝙖𝙣𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙛𝙪𝙘𝙠𝙚𝙙 𝙪𝙥, 𝙗𝙪𝙩 𝙞𝙩 𝙬𝙖𝙨 𝙩𝙤𝙜𝙚𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙣𝙤𝙣𝙚-𝙩𝙝𝙚-𝙡𝙚𝙨𝙨. 𝘿𝙖𝙢𝙣, 𝙄 𝙛𝙚𝙡𝙩 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚 𝙄 𝙬𝙖𝙨 𝙤𝙣 𝙩𝙤𝙥 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙡𝙙.

This book stayed true to the Vitale legacy, giving us a mixture of suspense, comedy, emotion & darkness that only Skyler & Brea can deliver. I loved every second of Blake’s story & think he is a perfect addition to the family. I am actually shocked with how hard I fell for Quincy; he was everything & nothing I expected. Also “Baby Girl has never hit harder than when Quincy says it…I melt. Already missing these two & see a reread in the very near future.

"𝙄 𝙘𝙖𝙣'𝙩 𝙡𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙮𝙤𝙪, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙣𝙤𝙬, 𝙄 𝙘𝙖𝙣'𝙩 𝙙𝙞𝙚 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙚𝙞𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧."

I still don't understand why we needed to introduce a secret brother. I t doesn't even help that his book is written worse than all the rest in the series because I struggled to connect to him or Quincy.

Their relationship was all over the place. First they were fighting, then they had sex and suddenly they're in love?? I was so confused. That coupled with the cringier-than-usual dialogue and the plot inconsistencies, I really didn't enjoy this book much past the moments with the other brothers especially Tex and Enzo, my beloveds.

I'm also so mad that their dad is getting a redemption arc?? Like you spent five books playing up how horrible he is to his kids and now you want to paint him as some misunderstood villain? PLEASE!

Tropes: forced proximity, size difference, only one bed, hurt/comfort, found family
Feels: 3/5
Steam*: 2.5/5
Kinks: dirty talk (including mild feminization), big guy is the bottom, sex in risky places
Angst: low
HEA: yes
Pairing: MM
Triggers/potential icks/content warnings: drug use, violence, murder, some really graphic on page torture (of minor characters), crime, both MMCs are former sex workers and struggled with poverty, mental health issues (1 MMC struggles with depression and hoarding because mother is a hoarder), no lube and inadequate prepping, unsafe sex, third act to break up, bad parents/neglectful parents
Cheating between MCs: No
Any cheating: No
Other person drama: neither of them are with anyone else after they start hooking up. Quincy has recently been trying to get over feelings for Harlow, he's over it, but there are some references to his past feelings. No on page sex with others, but Blake fucked a guard so that he could rob a bank the day before he met Quincy. Both MMCs have done sex work in the past, and Quincy has used sex workers, and briefly considers using them during the book.

3.5 stars

Quincy is 29. Blake is 22. Quincy is part of the Yakuza and the lifelong BFF of Harlow. He's low man on the totem pole right now in the Yakuza, he's being tested and punished. He's struggling financially too. He's also dealing with his hoarder mother who has a deteriorating mental state.

Blake is the secret son of Cesare Vitale, who hasn't been in his life since he was like 7 years old maybe? Blake and his mother live in California and are very close, but poor. Both Blake and his mother have had to do sex work to make ends meet, and Blake is really good at stealing, and also setting fires. Blake robs a Bank and very nearly gets caught at the beginning of this book. His mother reveals who his father is, and sends him to New York because she thinks his father will protect him from getting into legal trouble.

When Blake gets to New York, he meets his brothers first, and Benito asks Quincy to be Blake's babysitter, because they don't trust Blake enough to have him in their homes, especially given three out of four of the brothers have children now and Enzo isn't good with strangers in his space. Quincy reluctantly agrees and he and Blake banter and start to get to know each other. A kiss that is meant to just be a distraction turns into sexual chemistry between them and they start an intense sexual relationship. Their connection develops and gets possessive and protective as they face struggles together. They have good chemistry and a good relationship. They were enjoyable as a couple.

My favorite thing about this book was the moments with the other characters in this series. It was nice to see everybody make an appearance and you saw everyone's idiosyncrasies, which brought a lot of humor and nostalgic fondness out. I especially love Gin and Harlow, they are such wild characters! I loved every time they appeared. I love humor in my romances.

Things I didn't like:

- I wasn't a huge fan of Quincy in the first 35% of the book. Quincy came across as full of himself and a little bit of a sexual harasser. And not in a nice smutty way that is driven by actual sexual tension between the characters, more of a this guy's making me uncomfortable kind of way.

- Quincy and Blake are forced to get married all of a sudden at the end. It was a little out of nowhere, it seemed like it shouldn't have been necessary. Blake is only 22, and their relationship was so fresh, their relationship didn't need to jump into marriage. And it was a little repetitive given Benito and Harlow's forced marriage.

- The authors made a bunch of mistakes with apostrophes and possessive. I give it a pass when the errors are in dialogue, because it's in character for characters to make mistakes in their own usage. But when the authors make typos in the rest of the book, typos annoy me.

- This one is very much my personal issue... Cesare (the dad of all the Vitale Brothers) has spent his whole life being with women, his whole personality has been the mafia but also being a womanizer. He's been such a prolific ladies man he's got all these kids by different women. At the end of this book, it's revealed he's been hooking up with men lately. Which is completely out of the blue, especially because not many pages ago Blake was hanging out with him and as Blake was leaving a room, he overhears Cesare ask a gaggle of women, "who's going to blow me first?". It's not believable for him to be into men all of a sudden. If the authors wanted to go that way, they should have laid more breadcrumbs to make it more believable. Benito is over 40 years old. So he must be at least 64 years old. I've disliked this guy for five books, and I really don't want to read him being an MMC. I really hope he is not the MMC in the next book, I'm hoping that Raphael and someone else are the main characters of the next book, and Cesare is just a villain in the background. Because I don't want to read his love story, he's my one dimensional character I dislike, don't take that from me! LOL. If Cesare is the MMC, I probably will skip the book, which is just sad because I have read this entire series and want this series to go out with a bang.

Some notable moments:

""Giancarlo, the one who fucks his hammer, has a baby?" Benito's face scrunched up in disgust. "He doesn't fuc" Harlow nodded. "Yeah, that one." He looked at his husband with all the seriousness in the world. The knife was put back away. "Can you say without a doubt Gin doesn't do things with that hammer?" Benito's mouth opened and closed without another word."

I love Melony. ""Thank you," Benito said. "I'll send over the payment." She nodded. "Add on the additional fee for the late night aspect of it all." She groaned. "I have a girlfriend now. And if Chelsea finds out I slipped out of bed, she's going to be so fucking mean for the next few days. You have no idea what lesbian rage looks like. Hint, it's not pretty. Also it's very passive-aggressive.""

"I ignored Harlow in favor of listening, hoping for some kind of indication Blake was there. "Can he hear me?" Benito sighed but he didn't say anything. I grinned. I couldn't help it. Just thinking about Blake filled me with so many mixed emotions that were impossible to squash. "Hey, baby girl, I said softly. Harlow lifted a single brow in question at me."

""Ash, your man is over here trying to convince people to have babies," Harlow shouted. Ash's head popped up. His doe shaped eyes widened more as he searched for his fiancé. "Everyone is a fucking snitch in this family," Gin grumbled and headed right over to his man."

*FYI about steam: I rate steam based on a combination of quality & quantity. I note kink separate from steam because I don't want to underrate steamy reads that don't have much kink.

**Note about spoilers: I like to comment on the plot of a book in reviews, so I almost always mark my reviews as containing spoilers. But I try to avoid spoiling the big dramatic moments! As a reader, I personally like to know what I'm getting into before I read a book so I know more about the content and if it's to my taste/mood, so I try to give that information in my reviews for myself when I'm considering rereading and also for other readers.

I was so sat for this premise: antagonistic to lovers, mafia bodyguard/babysitter, roommates and one bed trope. God, I love to see it.

TROPES & VIBES:
- MM mafia romance
- Hurt x comfort
- Found family
- They’re both so babygirl, I would take a bullet for either of them

My only gripe was that it honestly could have finished at 80%. The last 20% was kind of fluffy epilogue vibes.

Listen, I’ve never met a Vitale brother I didn’t love and Blake is no exception.

This series gets better and better with every book and Blake and Quincy really just gave me everything that I needed. Marriage of convenience. Touch him and die. Only one bed. “Baby Girl.

Ugh I’m just a girl and I know what I like.

Spectacular, give 17 me more.

Read in another buddy read with the always lovely Lilly ❤️

Hm, what happened here?

The magic of the first 4 books was missing here. I think, at least for me, it was several things:

✖︎ We hadn't met Blake in the previous books, so we didn't really get any build up to him. He was all the sudden there, another Vitale brother, and there was only one book to develop him and it really wasn't enough time.

✖︎ Blake was annoying AF for a good portion of this. He was very much Six lite from . Not nearly as bad as him (if you any of you have read my review for that book, you'd know how much I hated Six and why.)

Blake was just making dumb decisions from the beginning. Like he knew he was going to a mafia family, that these aren't good people, and he's in a city he's unfamiliar with. HE is the one who goes there to try to get protection from his own crimes. HE puts himself into this family, and yet what does he do? RUNS AWAY.

He's now painted a target on his back as a new Vitale brother, but also Cesare, their father, is cooking up stuff and he's not a good man. And sure Blake would need to figure that out for himself, but even he gets uncomfortable/uneasy around him - and yet what does he do later in the book? GOES BACK TO HIM.

He doesn't have experience in this mafia world. Yes, he's Vitale-eque. He has that Vitale like wildness in him, but he still spent 22 years in the normal world. He should listen when those around him know better tell him to, but he doesn't. He's immature and stupid. His brothers - especially Benito - give him more leeway than he deserves. So does Quincy, who has been tasked with looking out for him for the time being.

✖︎ Honestly I'm tired of authors trying to force characters into a top/bottom role they don't fit. I'm sorry, but Quincy was giving off top vibes from the beginning and Blake bottom vibes. But out of nowhere he says that he "can tell" that Quincy is really a bottom. Why? How? Blake himself has just bottomed his whole life until now, but all the sudden he's such a top? Lol please. And I'm sorry, it's not a bad thing if the bigger guy tops. Like stop trying to subvert that when it makes no sense.

It just never felt right for me and Blake did not feel like a dominant top and his "dirty talk" just felt cringe and ridiculous. I even rolled my eyes near the end. Like even if he's a Vitale, let him be a bottom lol. He can still be wild and psychotic and be a bottom (case in point: Gin). It just felt out of nowhere and forced the whole time and I could never fully get into and enjoy their objectively hot sex scenes.

✖︎ Two books of Cesare being an unredeemable psychopath with no redeeming qualities and now all the sudden he might have truly cared for Blake's mom? And oh he's all the sudden into men? Lol this was so out of nowhere and not at all built up. Like why give him depth and potential for redemption all the sudden? Why not build up to it and show some of that in the previous books? I mean, I can't believe Cesare is gonna get his own book like wHAT lmao but I will read because I've loved the previous 4 books in this series and we're too far in to not finish it. And hopefully the 6th book can end this series on a high note as it deserves, unlike this would have been.

Honestly, a lot of this book felt out of nowhere. Like these ladies planned for only 4 books but then got the idea for a 5th brother and scrambled to think of a continuing plot after the mob war was over. I wasn't buying it. It was a very weak plot overall.

✖︎ I felt so much for Quincy after learning about his mother and all he had to go through with her. Honestly I liked Quincy overall even if he was a bit "meh" at first. But the more we learned about him and got to know him, the more I liked him. But even that storyline kind of went out with a whimper. Also he had a storyline going with trying to get a better position in the Yakuza, but things are going to shit.

But then things happen with Dakai, the oldest brother to Harlow, and while it seems Dakai isn't the smartest tool in the shed, even he would know not to go for someone as low level as Quincy just to go out like that. Like how stupid, even for a not as smart as he could be character. It was a dumb, idiotic way to go.

It was all so...underwhelming. Like I know they finished with the mafia war in the last book and can't just start another one, but still...wars don't have to be going on for the plot to be interesting. But the plot in this one just...wasn't. It was so blah.

✖︎ It also didn't help that Blake was so removed from the rest of the brothers. We saw Benito the most, but we barely see any of the other brothers and their partners. Like Blake felt removed from them, but so did we the readers. This book almost didn't feel like it was a part of this series. With Blake being so unkown and the plot so meh and barely getting to see the brothers, these characters we've come to know and love, it just really harmed this book overall.

✖︎ Now, Blake was alright near the end of the book, he wasn't as annoying and he was a fairly good partner for Quincy and all, but this book still didn't do good with his characterization all the way through to the end. Because he still spent his whole life in the normal world and had to get used to it. But all the sudden in the last third, it had him basically a full Vitale brother, going off and doing jobs with Enzo (and we know what that would involve) and such.

We just did not see his transition from slightly unhinged normal guy to full on Vitale psychopath, getting his hands dirty. I mean, we didn't even get to see him being that way, he was just all the sudden full on Vitale and competent and dominant, full on - not like he was before. And we were just told he was out doing that, we didn't see any of it.

It just wasn't a well done transition in his character development.

-

Now, this book gets points for Quincy being a good character and having an interesting backstory that fleshed out his character, and Blake improving somewhat in the last third and not being so annoying. He improved a bit and became more tolerable and somewhat likable.

But a lot of this was just so...."meh"

Lilly and I were not impressed with this book. It was such an underwhelming letdown after the greatness that was the first 4 books in this series. Like what happened? Did they rush this? There were echoes of Six in Blake's character too so I had to wonder if he was a Skyler Snow invention, sorry to say. But he was like a less annoying, less insufferable version of him, I swear.

So, Quincy was a positive. And the writing style was still maintained overall, the technical aspects were still good. Even if I wasn't fond of Quincy and Blake's sexual dynamic, objectively it was hot. Like Lilly said, it's hot but not hot, if that makes sense.

This wasn't the worst or anything. I wouldn't put it quite on the level of Break Me Daddy, which I gave 1.5 stars and just hated. But it was close. There isn't a whole lot of positives to say about this.

Except for Quincy and his backstory and personal issues basically saving this from being a 1 star read. He kept my interest enough to get through this. And Blake improving helped it a tad as well. If he'd been annoying through the end, probably would have given this 2 stars. But he at least took care of Quincy and showed he genuinely cared for and eventually loved him. That's the only reason I'm rounding up to 3 stars instead of giving this lower and rounding down to 2.

But man, if I hadn't had to read this book for my BR with Lilly, it would have been a slower read. I literally had a "ugh no not 5 more chapters to read" reaction several times. Having to force myself to read faster than I wanted to.

Like I genuinely don't quite understand what happened with this. I LOVED the first four books. Where did that quality go? Why was this so...'meh' overall? I'm truly bummed about that.

Even though I think it's wild that Cesare is getting a book, I will definitely read it and definitely hope that book brings back the quality of the first four books.

Because this one? Was not it, unfortunately.

Here's hoping we finish this series out with a win with the next book 🤞

P.S. Why was this called "End It All"?? Not only was there nothing final about this book, but nothing epic happened, plot wise. We were so confused in the end with that title. It didn't fit the plot of this book whatsoever.

My Ratings for the Vitale Brothers Series:

I absolutely devoured this book! Blake, the arsonist with daddy issues and Quincy, the crazy sunshine mfer with mommy issues were just adorable (and crazy too). I was kinda weirded about having a new addition to the Vitale brothers who i love with all my heart but Blake did not disappoint at all. Their story, the relationship development, possessiveness and crazy made me swoon and giggle.

"You go, baby, I go. If I'm dying, I will take you with me. I can't live without you, and now, I can't die without you either."
"I need you more than I need to breathe. From now on and forever, you are my everything."

AND we're getting daddy Vitale's book next?? Please let his redemption story be a good one. I'm dying to read someone who puts him in his place

2.5 generously.

This one wasnt it for me personally the dynamic and chemistry was off. It felt their connection was physical and i failed to see what emotional attachment they had?

Ill be seated for the next book though.

Oh. My. Heart! These two... THESE TWO! Of course, I loved the book as you can see. I cannot believe you can have this much emotion in a story about two brats ;) To me, this book is the heart of the series. You get to see just how much love and acceptance there is in this family. There actually wasn't as much of the crime drama/thriller element as the other books... this had much more of a hurt-comfort vibe to it.

Blake and Quincy are so different and yet so alike! Blake is the feisty little Vitale with his claws always out. Quincy is an idiotic violent goofball, but underneath it all they both just want to be wanted and loved. There were so many scenes with their personal issues and struggles that made me tear up! Broke my freaking heart. But all the scenes with the family made up for that. Heartwarming yet hysterical. I can't even tell who is my favorite, I just love them all!

Little side note: when I started this book, I also saw the GR blurb about who the next book was about and I was like, oh fuck no! You can have that shit! But you know... by the end of this book... I'm very, VERY intrigued.

Found family, hurt comfort, more unhinged mafia shenanigans, smaller younger top/power bottom, and a lot of Benito and Harlow. Fun times.

Coming off of 4 good reads back to back I should have know this book would have been a bust.

Two chapters in and I knew I wouldn’t end up liking this book. I didn’t particularly like either MC. There was nothing in their personality that stood out or made me think “oh I love them so much they were hardly likable if I’m being honest.

There was no chemistry and the way they came together didn’t feel natural at all. It didn’t help that we were reminded constantly how much both of them got around. From what I gathered they were both rent boys in the past and sleeping around didn’t stop with their jobs, they both got around all over the place. Also like 70% in and we were still questioning if Quincy still had feelings for Harlow. It was brought up throughout the book multiple times how he was in love with Harlow and he only said how his feelings didn’t matter because Harlow was married and obsessed with his husband.

I have no idea how these guys fell in love. They fought all the time and then had sex and that’s literally it, no emotions at all. They don’t even confess any of their feelings until well over 70%.

Also when I read a mafia book I need at least one of the MCs to be in a power position. Both of these guys were under the thumb of someone else and it was so frustrating watching them both get knocked back time and time again.

This book also had inconsistencies. Blake was 59 and then he was 56 and then he was 59 again. Not a huge inconsistency but it made me stop and go back to check. Also if you’re going to translate the languages do ALL of them. Japanese and Russian were translated but when it came to Italian it wasn’t and it was so frustrating to have to stop reading and look up what was being said so I could understand the context.

They got cuter towards the end but by this point I didn’t even care about them. The only parts I like were seeing Benito and Harlow, I love them so much and they are my favorite couple by far.

I’m also very disappointed that the last couple is going to be Caesar and Rafael. We don’t know Rafael at all but Cesar? He’s a complete manwhore who has multiple children by multiple women, we see him at the strip club asking which 25 year old is going to such his dick first (mind you he’s at least late 50s or 60s) and he’s a complete asshole. Why in the hell would we want to read his book? I certainly won’t be. Nothing can top book 3 and 4 so I won’t even bother. I’m super upset by how much of a let down this book was 😩.

NO CHEATING
NO OP DRAMA (though it’s mentioned many times how they will go and find release with someone else and their sexual past is brought up so many times)
THIRD ACT BREAK UP (I guess but they weren’t even together they just had sex)
VIOLENCE BETWEEN MCS
TORTURE
MURDER
ALSO THEY SMOKE A LOT OF WEED ( not hating, just saying)

“As bad as Vitales were, they were also temptation.

Blake learns that he’s not who he thought he was and is sent straight into the lion’s den. The Vitale’s are obviously suspicious of the newcomer and they decide that the only person they can trust to keep an eye on Blake, is Quincy.

Blake and his pyro ass are a stunning edition to the Vitale family and all of its crazy.

This book was definitely a little more hurt/comfort than the rest (with all the usual insanity). I loved Blake’s character and how he seamlessly fit right into the family.

Quincy is everything to me. His character had so much more depth than I could have ever expected. Seeming to fit nowhere and fighting losing battles, he finally finds his home when he gives into Blake! I loved his chaotic ways.

These two were on fire. I loved how their relationship progressed completely backwards. It was messy and toxic and absolutely fitting for them.

The little snippets we get of every brother and their lives makes me want to reread them all!

I also absolutely can’t wait for Daddy V to get a book. Oh it will be epic

Story: 5/5

Yes! The Vitales are back! I missed their shenanigans so much. 🤣
This series is just on repeat for me. 🤭 How many times can I reread this amazing series? (Never too many!)

I loved the dedication: "For everyone just trying to survive life one step at a time. It doesn’t matter how many times you screw up, as long as you try to fix it." 🥺😭

🐅🦋🕷🐅🦋🕷🐅🦋🕷🐅Q🦋u🕷o🐅t🦋&;🕷🐅🦋🕷🐅🦋🕷🐅🦋

Blake's glare would be deadly if I wasn't glared at for the majority of the day. "You just said I could sleep on a bench in the park." "Never said I wouldn't be there staring at you." "Fucking weirdo. Should have stayed home." "Get in." "Fine." Blake's shoulders sagged.
(...)
Blake shook his head, his dark strands whipping across his face. He'd be my type if he wasn't a Vitale.

Genre/Trope: Adult/MM Romance/LGTBQIA Plus/Love M-M/
Content/Trigger Warnings:
Plot: 5/5
POV: 2

Main Characters:
5/5 Blake Moreno/Vitale, 22yo, he/him, cis-man, italian/american, Pet names: Baby Girl, Doll, Princess, Brat, Peaches, Thief, kinda of a brat, feisty, kind, has a good heart, caretaker, has lots of piercings and tattoos, loves fire (arsonist), cooking and his mother, also liked to clean. Described by Quincy: "He screamed bad boy but gave off princess vibes right now."
5/5 Quincy Adachi, Late 20s~28yo, he/him, cis-man, japanese/afro-american, Pet names: Asshole, Needy, Slut, Whore, Yakuza Goon, stubborn, relentless, needy, possesive, has tattoos, good with knives, loves colorful clothes, dyeing his hair and pizza. Described by Blake: "Meeting him it felt like he was a mix of both a teenager and a dangerous as hell man.", "That man wasn't the least bit stable."

These two broken idiots are just adorable together, insane but sweet nonetheless.
Both are in need of someone to just be there for them, but are as reluctant to trust anyone.

I completely adore the only one bed trope, so throw in possessiveness, tons of bickering and pet names... and I melt!
The spice and heartbreaking momments in this book were perfect. Sooo dirty and hot, but twistedly sweet.

Quincy desperately needed Blake to be present, to take care of him and to feel wanted. Blake, a bit lost with the prospect of more family, needed Quincy to protect him and guide him safely through all the mafia troubles.
They just had to figure out that they were each other's home. 🥺
These two were so obliviously touch-starved and that made everything more intense and wild. The chemistry was off the charts.
I loved seeing them grow so much throughout the book.
They both went through so much, and they deserved to have their chaotic love and crazy found family. ❤️‍

"If you don't walk out of here, I'm going to throw you over my shoulder and carry you back to my place. And then I'm going to make sure the rope I tie you down with won't be so easily slipped out of. Got it?"
I shook my head. "You're acting a little crazy."
Quincy's dark eyes somehow grew darker. The light made every inch of his brown skin look richer than before. His short blond hair was slightly curly and close to his head. If I could stand him, he would kind of be hot right now.
I seriously have the worst taste in men.

Side Characters: 5/5

I love seeing all the interactions between the Vitale couples!

Giancarlo just annihilates it! And the bonding time between him, Gianpaolo, and Blake 😆 I just had the time of my life with this book ❤️‍.

I really love seeing Quincy and Harlow reconnect.
Those two are a menace together and Benito and Blake definitely have their hands full!
Also, I can see that Giancarlo and Quincy are going to be best friends in the future. Their himbo vibes and nonsense antics had me almost in tears from laughing so much. I mean, you expect that from Giancarlo, but I was not prepared for Quincy to join in on Gin's craziness!

As always, you can expect lots of hilarious shenanigans, violence, and gore with this crazy family.

What I love most (and find super hilarious) is the foundation of Daddy issues we have in this series.
That said, what a twist fuckery this book was! With that ending!
I guess I’ll just (very willingly) have to trust whatever Skyler and Brea have prepared for the next book 🙃.
FYI I know I'm not prepared for it, but I also can't wait!
Bc I'm always going to be hungry for Vitale shenanigans!

Now on to the first book of the Mayhem Universe! More Mafia!!

Quincy: "Will you take the job?" Benito asked. He let out a heavy sigh. "Gin can't. He brought home a baby and refuses to return it."
"Wait, a what now?" I shook my head, certain I hadn't heard the oldest Vitale right. I cleaned out my ears, checking to see if I hadn't gotten all the mud out of it. "Giancarlo, the one who fucks his hammer, has a baby?"
Benito's face scrunched up in disgust. "He doesn't fuc"
Harlow nodded. "Yeah, that one." He looked at his husband with all the seriousness in the world. The knife was put back away. "Can you say without a doubt Gin doesn't do things with that hammer?"

Quincy: "I love you. Love you. Love you. Love you. Love you. Love you," my chant built more and more as Blake fucked me.
His laughter only made my stomach twist with desire. "Am I breaking you, Quincy?" He lowered himself, moving my legs out of the way. I quickly wrapped them around his waist and pressed my heels into his ass cheeks, urging him to continue. To never stop. "Mine, you're all mine." The possession in his voice filled me with so much happiness, it only made me yearn for him more.
(...)
“Don’t worry, he groaned. “I would never miss out on breeding your tight ass. Not even for a second. You need to be stuffed full of my cum. Don’t you, Quincy?
I nodded feverishly. “Yes, yes. Need it.
He cooed. “So easy and breedable for me. How could I ever tell you no?

Quincy: "We could never have an honest relationship. All I can see is us being great, until we weren’t. And neither of us would be willing to hurt the other. Not for real. My stomach squeezed at his words, he was right. "Plus, like I said, you're a fucking bottom. I ain’t topping you." A literal shudder raced over Harlow's body. I chuckled at his stupidity.
"Noted, wouldn't want you anywhere near it, and I’m not a fucking bottom. Vers at times."
"Whatever you have to say to sleep with a gut full of cum at night."
“I don’t do that! I argued.
“Suuuuuure, Harlow droned on. “I know a bottom when I see one.

!! I don't equate fiction stories to real life. It's a matter of personal taste and what you are willing or want to tolerate in the books you read. We all have different opinions and preferences when it comes to the kind of books we enjoy, so it's important to respect and remember that it's just a book!!

I read the rest of the series so I just wanted to finish it up. This was better than I thought it would be but not so great overall.

MCs had good chemistry but honestly good chemistry to love of their lives transition was abrupt. Also the book doesnt have much of a storyline. But anyways. I'm in too deep to not finish the series. Apperently last book is Cesare's. From the end of this book, I can see the storyline of that book a mile away. This serious shouldnt have been 6 books. Things have gotten really repetetive because sure, how many different ways can you pair a mafia guy with a normal guy? I think Enzo, Benito and Gin's book pretty much covers all the others' storylines.

I don't ever want this series to end. Vitale brothers are hilarious and their bond is very special, I could read about it 24/7.
Although, I didn't expect this one to be about TWO broken boys. LOVED IT. Blake and Quincy are too precious and so so perfect for each other. Very happy they found each other and got the family they deserved <3

I'm sorry, this book was a hot mess!

Quincy, who was full of chaotic charm early on in the book, seemed to completely lose his entire personality by the end. Blake was just an inconsistent character and I never knew where I sat with either of them, and not in a fun way.

The plot was... non-existent.

I found the family dynamic weak, and I missed Enzo and Tex in this one! They barely featured!!! However, I do love the brother's "wifes" group chat.

Overall, one of the weakest books of the series but still enjoyed it more than Benito and Harlow's book, although that would have changed if it was any longer.

Favourite Couple:
1. Enzo x Tex (Book 1)
2. Gianpaulo x York (Book 4)
3. Giancarlo x Ash (Book 2)
4. Quincy x Blake (Book 5)
5. Benito x Harlow (Book 3)

Favourite Book :
1. Never Say Never (Book 4)
2. Take Me Apart (Book 1)
3. Paid in Full (Book 2)
4. End It All (Book 5)
5. Say I Do (Book 3)

Well that crashed and burned. Both MC's were not interesting, they felt like strangers the authors brought into the Vitale fold and both couldn't quite fit into the dynamic of the Vitales and their world, especially Blake the long lost son,he was interesting as a dry wall. The ridiculous storyline was all over the place with inconsistent plots, both the yakuza and mafia plots were poorly executed and frankly failed to hold my attention, I was dying for the crap to end.

this book was a fucking mess. shitty writing and cringy ass characters (I’m talking about you Quincy). I thought we were going to see more into the yakuza and how they work since Quincy was trying to work up the ranks but we see no insight of it. nothing was executed properly. what kind of yakuza member dresses like a fucking clown? yellow hoodies with zebra strips and purple/orange pants I wanted to see the representation of the Japanese culture but I got nothing. Quincy was a mess and not a hot mess.

and then theres Blake who’s the youngest Vitale brother who has just joined the family. he’s okay but nothing special. the dynamic that I had in mind between him and Quincy did not happen and I am so disappointed. Their relationship was boring. I’m not even gonna bother with book 6 of the series cause I know brea and skylar are gonna take it out of their ass again.

Brea and Skyler have done it again! I absolutely love the Vitale Brothers series, these crazy ass men and their equally crazy boys can do no wrong in my eyes! Blake and Quincy are no exception.
These two have insane chemistry from the get go. The tension is perfect. They are equally as crazy as each other and somehow their crazies match!
This book has it all- frenermies to lovers, forced proximity, only one bed, touch-him-and-die. It’s so good! As always, the Vitale family are on top form, with all our favourites characters in the mix! Gin is of course, always on top form! (I love him!)
Anyway, another 5 ⭐️ read for me! If you’ve been following along with this series, you won’t be disappointed by Blake and Quincy at all!

Still obsessed with this series. Blake and Quincy’s relationship was funny, cute and I really enjoyed them. I wish we saw more of Blake becoming close with his family though. I don’t know if anything will top Gianpoalo and Yorks book. I also hate when books don’t have an epilogue.
