The text is able to plainly expound upon the divergent approaches to psychotherapy and counseling in a straightforward method. This approach further enables a novice to easily use the material presented in practical applications.

Review of the key concepts; and of particular interest, the Theory’s view of human nature.
The procedures, techniques, and applications embraced by the Theory.
The Theory’s strengths and weaknesses from a multi-cultural perspective.

I found the content and structure of the book to be extremely beneficial in helping formulate a style of counseling consistent with my strengths and that focuses on the type of services provided by a specific counseling provider.
I am indebted to the suggested readings and references that allow the reader to research the Theory’s and also, obtain information through the various Society’s and Institutes that provide information and training.
I will keep this book as a strong reference in the practice of counseling.
