[close] Hi everyone! Thanks for stopping by. The purpose of this group is to have a place for anyone who is working on improving their writing and is willing to learn. It's also a place where we can share what books have helped us to improve, so that others can read them as well. There's going to be a featured book to read every month, but everyone is welcome to share their favorite ones so that they can also be featured in future months. If anyone has any questions regarding the material of the book, feel free to ask. We're here to learn.

From Wikipedia: "The Harvard Classics, originally known as Dr. Eliot's Five Foot Shelf, is a 51-volume anthology of classic works from world literature, compiled and edited by Harvard University president Charles W. Eliot and first published in 1909. Eliot had stated in speeches that the elements of a liberal education could be obtained by spending 15 minutes a day reading from a collection of books that could fit on a five-foot shelf. (Originally he had said a three-foot shelf.) The publisher P. F. Collier and Son saw an opportunity and challenged Eliot to make good on this statement by selecting an appropriate collection of works, and the Harvard Classics was the result." [close] A place to discuss all the unique aspects of Deaf culture as highlighted in the thriller Silent Fear (A novel inspired by true crimes) by Lance & James Morcan. This group can also be an intersection of sorts where Deaf and hearing people can engage and learn from each other.

[close] Can't remember the title of a book you read? Come search our bookshelves and discussion posts. If you don’t find it there, post a description on our UNSOLVED message board. 1. GENRE and PLOT DETAILS are mandatory in the header/ topic title. Do NOT create vague topic headers like "Romance" or "YA Fantasy" or "Looking for this book." You can add "Solved" to your topic header and move it to a Solved folder by clicking "edit" on the Desktop website (not app) - or a Moderator will assist. 7.
