This shorty was an adorable little glimpse into the "everyday behind the scenes lives" of Montgomery, Raphael's butler, and Sivya, Raphael's head chef/cook, both members of his household staff.
I enjoyed this one a lot. So cute.

Montgomery is MVP. He fuckin' deserves this.
Honestly wished it was longer, but totally happy with this short story. It was so funny&cute. Hope to see Montgomery and Sivya again soon.

3.5 Stars... A short story set in the "Guild Hunter" series focusing on Raphael's butler, Montgomery, and chef, Sivya and their potential romance... At this point in the series, most readers love Montgomery and the way in which he cares for Raphael and Elena... It is nice to read a story focusing on him and his courting of Sivya; short but very sweet:)

I really enjoyed this little freebie novella from Nalini Singh's July newsletter.
It seems love is in the air for two of Raphael's and Elena's employees; Montgomery, their unflappable English butler and a blushing angelic baker, Sivya. I love Nalini's angel-vamp/human pairings so hopefully this is just an apetizer of things to come. I'm fairly certain I would enjoy reading about how they sample each other, and not just Sivya's éclairs... Who would have thought the oh so proper butler was a food clepto? Very sweet. �
(As was the update regarding this couple in Archangel's Heart...)

A short story, 7.5 in the Guild Angel paranormal romance series revolving around the archangels who rule the world.. The couple focus is on Sivya and Montgomery.
My Take
This was just beautiful! Montgomery usually gets mentioned with the occasional reference to Sivya, and "A Walk on the Cliffs" gives us such insight into her!
She's an amazing character...suddenly revealed through Singh's use of third person protagonist point-of-view from Sivya's perspective. I must confess I was surprised to find out she was an angel!
It's so cute how flustered she gets at the mess and her appearance. Then there's that comment she makes about Montgomery's lethality. Hmmm, hope we get more short stories on this couple!
Emboldened by Raphael's sanction, Montgomery invites Sivya to enjoy the evening air with him.

This story is directly linked to a chapter in Archangel's Shadows. Sivya, a character only briefly mentioned on occasion in the Guild Hunter series is brought to light, as well as the butler Montgomery. It is nice to see where their relationship starts, although we are unsure of what kind of relationship it is yet.

A short story about two of the minor characters from the Guildhunter series, included in the Newsletter Collection. A chef and a butler go for an evening stroll. Now I’ve been ranting a bit about not liking romance plots, but I do like the occasional love story (there’s a difference!) and this gentle blossoming of attraction between an angel and a vampire was delightful.
