I didn't finish reading this one. I just couldn't get into the "psychic" aura of it. Maybe another time.

Robin Norwood offers her readers clear compassionate insight into the many purposes of life on earth. The vignettes in this book open up a range of possibilities for rethinking any circumstance in your life. A death is seen as an agreement that has been made to fufill a karmic bond and when seen through this light, the circumstances can be viewed with a different understanding that perhaps allows more peace. A personality trait or skill that a person posesses may be the main issue the soul has chosen to work on in this life to evolve and expand. A relationship that causes great grief may be the perfect reflection of where we are wounded and helps to "wake us up." Life on earth is all about learning, evolving and expanding. There are no bad experiences when seen in this light, it is all perfect and always evolving. Every experience moves us into the next phase of our evolvement and if we can recognize where we are wounded by our experiences and move past the wound we can choose not to experience that circumstance again. A really beautiful, helpful and insightful book.

"The physical body is incapable of dishonesty." -Norwood, pp. 28

I also seemed to retain the idea of the outward journey, then the return journey. My take on it is basically as long as stuff is new to you, you are traveling outwards. Once you have gotten your fill so to speak, and have seen just about all that you will see for the rest of your life you start to make the return journey back to your soul. Some people never make it this far because they refuse to face their own consciousness.

Some good stuff in here, but some unproven theories presented as fact as well.

I don't know what to think about this book. The author believes in reincarnation. Part of me thinks "mpfff, bullshit" and part of me thinks "uhm, makes sense". I think I will re-read it straight away. I don't know... somehow this was magnetic to me. I feel weird.

I came across this book at a street vendor鈥檚 stall a few years ago. It made its way onto my bookshelf, where it sat waiting for its turn. It wasn鈥檛 until December 2024 that I finally gave it the attention it deserved. Each day, I dedicated myself to reading 20 to 30 pages, hoping it would reignite the dwindling spark of my passion for reading and rekindle my appreciation for quality writing. To my surprise, the book surpassed every expectation I had.

I鈥檝e come to realize that sometimes the right book finds you when you need it most. Life often raises questions or presents challenges, and in those moments, the universe鈥 God鈥攐pens a door to deeper understanding. This book arrived at exactly the right moment, and for that, I am deeply grateful.

Not an Easy Read, But Worth It
It鈥檚 important to note that this is not an easy book鈥攅specially for anyone on a personal journey of self-discovery. The author incorporates real-life examples that can stir up old wounds and push you to confront uncomfortable truths. What I admired most was her refusal to sugarcoat anything. She doesn鈥檛 try to make the subject matter more palatable; instead, she presents it with raw honesty and depth, making it all the more impactful.

What stood out to me most was the sense of peace this book instilled. It offers profound insight into why the difficult moments in life happen, why they happen to us, and why they unfold at the time they do. It helped me understand that even in our suffering, there is purpose鈥攁 deeper meaning behind the events that shape our lives.

I was also struck by the author鈥檚 perspective on clairvoyance and tarot readings. Having experienced these practices herself, she firmly sets a boundary between them and the divine. She emphasizes that delving too deeply into such realms can disconnect us from our inner God and lead to unintended consequences. It was refreshing to see this clear distinction and the reminder that true guidance comes from within, not from external sources.

Another aspect of the book that resonated with me was the author鈥檚 redefinition of 鈥瀔arma. Instead of viewing it as punishment, she reframes it as a path to freedom鈥攖he liberation of the soul after years of hardship. It鈥檚 about releasing the burdens of the past, and ultimately, being reborn into a peaceful and renewed self.

A Personal Reflection
The book begins with the author reflecting on her own life struggles, offering her experiences as a personal example. From there, she transitions to stories from her time working as an assistant in a chiropractor鈥檚 office, where the people she met and the circumstances they faced became profound lessons for anyone grappling with life鈥檚 challenges.

The book continues by emphasizing an essential truth: people don鈥檛 just get sick or injured by chance. These events are often choices, particularly when the soul needs to learn new lessons. The experiences we face don鈥檛 only serve us鈥攖hey also help others grow. The author explains how illness and disease can cleanse our souls of karmic bonds, ultimately setting us free and guiding us to what God originally intended for us.

Reincarnation: A Controversial Perspective
One aspect that may be controversial for some is the author鈥檚 discussion of reincarnation. Robin Norwood explores the idea of the soul鈥檚 evolution across different lifetimes鈥攁 subject that sparked some negative reactions as I checked the online reviews.

While I don鈥檛 personally subscribe to the belief in reincarnation, I can鈥檛 deny the strange and seemingly significant encounters and dreams that have occurred in my own life. These moments feel too purposeful to be purely coincidental. But, at the same time, I acknowledge that we can鈥檛 grasp the entire immensity of God鈥檚 plan. What is possible or impossible for Him is beyond our understanding. So, while I may not fully accept or reject the concept of reincarnation, I am open to the mystery.

There were moments when reading this book moved me to tears. Other times, I simply sat in contemplation. The book brought a deep peace into my life and helped me gain a new understanding of my burdens. It made me rethink the way I perceive my own journey and how I approach the struggles I face.

A Story That Stuck With Me
To conclude this review, I鈥檇 like to share a passage from the book that has stayed with me:

The Story of the Farmer and His Cow

Once upon a time, in a small village far away, there lived a farmer who owned a cow. One day, the farmer discovered that his cow had gone missing. His neighbors, upon hearing the news, came to console him, saying, 鈥濿hat bad luck you have!鈥

The farmer, with a calm and philosophical attitude, replied, 鈥濭ood luck, bad luck, who鈥檚 to say?鈥

A few days later, the cow returned, bringing with her a wild horse. The neighbors, now seeing the return of the cow and the new horse, congratulated the farmer, saying, 鈥濿hat great luck you have!鈥

Again, the farmer responded, 鈥濭ood luck, bad luck, who鈥檚 to say?鈥

Later, the farmer鈥檚 son decided to ride the wild horse, but he fell and broke his leg. The neighbors came once again, saying, 鈥濿hat bad luck your son has!鈥

And once again, the farmer calmly replied, 鈥濭ood luck, bad luck, who鈥檚 to say?鈥

Some weeks later, the emperor鈥檚 army came through the village, conscripting all able-bodied young men to fight in a war. Because the farmer鈥檚 son had a broken leg, he was exempt from the draft. The neighbors came to him and said, 鈥濿hat great luck your son has!鈥

The farmer, as always, replied, 鈥濭ood luck, bad luck, who鈥檚 to say?鈥

The Unpredictability of Life
This story reminds us that, like the farmer鈥檚 neighbors, we often make judgments about life鈥檚 moments based on a limited perspective鈥攕eeing them as either blessings or misfortunes. But the truth is, we don鈥檛 always have the full story. A moment that seems negative today may reveal its deeper purpose in time.

If we could free ourselves from our emotional responses, especially the fear that arises during difficult times, we might see things differently. We鈥檇 stop labeling events as 鈥瀏ood鈥 or 鈥瀊ad鈥 and simply call them 鈥瀋hange.鈥 After all, it鈥檚 the unexpected changes that truly shape us and bring about transformation.

Desapego no significa indiferencia.

I didn鈥檛 get any answers to any of life鈥檚 toughest questions or find any solace/help from this book. Lot of discussion about the karmic cycle and mentions of esotericism - nothing new here if you鈥檝e read literally anything else in this kind of area. Enjoyed the short story examples to get the points across, but that鈥檚 about it.

O carte cu multe exemple 葯i studii de caz, scrisa de un terapeut care, la r芒ndul ei, a trecut prin diferite 卯ncerc膬ri 卯n via葲a 葯i care 葯i-a pus acelea葯i intreb膬ri de ani de zile: De ce eu? De ce asa? De ce acum?
Dac膬 trece葲i printr-o perioada mai grea sau sunte葲i intr-o revolta interioar膬 sau intr-o revolta cu universul, Dumnezeu, ne卯n葲eleg芒nd de ce se 卯nt芒mpla at芒tea nedrept膬葲i pe p膬m膬nt sau de ce suferim. De ce esti anume asa cum esti. De ce apar probleme sau de ce esti for葲at sa faci schimbari atunci cand totul pare a fi aranjat. Care este scopul acestei vie葲i 葯i care este scopul nostru in general. Aceasta carte iti raspunde la toate aceste intrebari, iti da sansa pentru a te cunoaste mai bine, a face pace, a te dezvolta, lumina 葯i vindeca.

"Vindecarea individual膬 influenteaza vindecarea 卯ntregii omeniri; vindecarea 卯ntregii omeniri influenteaza vindecarea 卯ntregii planete."
Ce presupune aceast膬 vindecare din partea noastr膬? Vindecarea are loc printr-o schimbare de con葯tiin葲膬 葯i de convingeri, prin iertare celorlal葲i, a noastr膬 卯n葯ine, a vie葲ii 葯i a lui Dumnezeu. Vindecarea se produce c芒nd renun葲膬m la convingerile noastre despre cum ar fi trebuit s膬 fie via葲a noastr膬 葯i c芒nd suntem dispu葯i s膬 accept膬m 葯i, p芒n膬 la urm膬, chiar s-o apreciem a葯a cum este.

Robin Norwood abordeaz膬 o tem膬 destul de grea鈥 cum s膬 卯n葲elegem 葯i s膬 卯nfrunt膬m durerea 葯i suferin葲ele din via葲a noastr膬. Ea ne 卯nva葲膬 c膬 fiecare experien葲膬, chiar 葯i cea mai dureroas膬, are un sens 葯i o lec葲ie pe care trebuie s膬 o 卯nv膬葲膬m pentru a evolua.

Mi-a pl膬cut foarte mult modul 卯n care autoarea explic膬 toate aceste concepte.

Dac膬 ai trecut prin perioade dificile sau pur 葯i simplu vrei s膬 卯n葲elegi mai bine cum s膬 卯葲i accep葲i trecutul 葯i s膬 卯葲i g膬se葯ti lini葯tea, aceast膬 carte este o lectur膬 extrem de valoroas膬. O recomand cu toat膬 inima!

Why Me, Why This, Why Now? by Robin Norwood is a book for anyone who's ever felt knocked down by life and asked those very questions. The author, who's also known for "Women Who Love Too Much," dives into the idea that our toughest times are actually opportunities for growth and learning.

Norwood mixes personal stories with spiritual insights to offer a perspective that life's challenges aren't random punishments but chances to develop strength and wisdom. She encourages readers to look deeper into their struggles to find the lessons hidden within.

The book is pretty uplifting and has a kind of gentle way of suggesting that there鈥檚 a reason behind the hard stuff we go through. It鈥檚 about finding meaning in our pain and using it to transform our lives for the better. For anyone going through a rough patch, this book might just be the comforting friend they need.

This book is for specific type of people, who is interested in ezoteric, reincarnation and so on. At first I thought it would be just another psychological book, but this was one of the worse and boring that I've read. I skipped a lot of pages, but still found few quotes that I marked to think about.

IMO there are a lot of better books in this geanre, so I don't think you shoud waste your time reading this.

The book is a little dated in terms of perceptions and even political correctness but the main theories are helpful and worth thinking about. The sections that you may not even necessarily agree with still triggers growth and challenging self-examination regardless. It doesn't nees to be high on your to-read list but definitely worth broaching when you feel it's the right time.

A very disappointing read. I appreciated her earlier works a lot precisely for their objectivity and rationality. This one delves into the paranormal and mystical, making for a very confusing mixture of psychology and paranormal beliefs. There are still some good things to pick up from this book, as long as you don't mind sifting through the rest.

D茅jalo ir."
Tiene mucha materia para reflexionar.
