鈥淚鈥檓 a firefighter, Ellie. I do the saving in this relationship.鈥

So finally I met Tyler. Hot, dangerous and sexy as sin Tyler Maddox. Definitely my second favorite Maddox!

I am so happy that I loved/liked/adored his story, because you all know I didn't like Thomas Maddox. After finishing 'Beautiful Burn' I realized that it would have been awesome to read all the stories from both POVs. I would give everything that I have to be inside Tyler's mind

I didn't like or dislike our heroine. She's a spoiled brat trying to figure out who she really is and what the hell she wants. Of course Ellie's new journey is forced, not because she wanted to. A thought Ellie: YOU ARE SO LUCKY you found yourself a Maddox. Those guys love forever when they fall in love.

The story and the way it was written were good. And before you ask, Oh yes Travis, Trent and Taylor are here. Hot, dangerous and hilarious as ever

鈥淭o have everything and feel nothing was the worst kind of selfishness.鈥

鈥淚'd never seen him before, but he looked a lot like my next mistake.鈥

鈥淚鈥檓 a firefighter, Ellie. I do the saving in this relationship.鈥

Okay... Now that was freaking amazing! Most definitely the BEST in this series. Beautiful Burn was hot, dangerous and intense. These damn Maddox boys are impossible NOT to love. Every last one of them is so worth swooning over. Seriously, where can I get one? I adored Tyler, he was so sweet and thoughtful and strong. What can I say? I have a soft spot for the twins. Out of the brothers, Taylor and Tyler are my favorites. Not counting Travis because he is and forever will be my #1. The reason Beautiful Burn is my favorite is because of Ellison, the girl Tyler falls in love with. For once we didn't get a "goody-two-shoes" heroine. Ellie was a complete and utter MESS and that's putting it mildly! She had a lot of issues. She had one night stands, took pills and tried drinking her problems away. Hmm, who does the sound like? Sounds a whole lot like the Maddoxes to me but in chick form lol. So why is it she seem's to be the majority's least favorite character? I have no clue as to why. I loved her even though she was a very broken person and frankly a sarcastic bitch most of the time, but I really liked that about her. She has a very BOLD personality and guards her feelings very closely. I loved her through all her fucked up decisions, horrible thoughts, hurtful actions and even through her setbacks and trust when I say she has many :( The best part was watching her over time mold into a much better version of herself. Tyler never gave up and tried so hard to stick it out even while Ellie was trying to push him away. If you love broken characters then you'll love Ellison. I couldn't get enough of 鈾yler and Ellie鈾. I loved them as a couple. I guess, for me, I found this story to be deep and real and heartbreaking. It broke my heart so much 馃槶馃槶, all the while also giving me hope. Beautiful Burn was a fantastic, gripping, heart-thundering and beautifully rendered read. Everyone should truly take the time to read this!

A leap of faith...

I am going to be gratingly honest when I say that after the first few chapters, I was done. Done. Ellison was not a character I wanted to read about. I had no desire to continue. However, I decided that I needed to stop and decompress before doing anything rash. So I did. I set the book aside, and after much deliberation decided that Jamie McGuire has more than earned my trust over the years. I owed her some blind faith. It was time to take a leap.

So I lept.

I lept right into Tyler Maddox.

Next to Travis, I am almost certain that Tyler has to be my favorite Maddox brother. Yes, I just went there. There was a unique softness to Tyler that I never picked up on with any of the other brothers. Yes, they all have huge hearts wrapped in tattoos, but Tyler was different. Tyler is different. He didn't need a woman to tame his wild Maddox ways. He had already grown into that man. In Tyler, being a Maddox wasn't a characteristic, it was a quality.

Ellie took a lot more time to win me over. I realize now that Jamie McGuire very much intended for me to feel all sorts of hostile disdain for Ellie in the beginning. We were suppose to see her at her worst, and it was bad. So bad, it made me not want to read anymore. Definitely a new meaning to the phrase, "rock bottom." I'm so glad I didn't give up. Her growth was amazing. However, since the book encompassed such a huge amount of time, requiring large time gaps between scenes, it was sometimes hard not to see her initial transition as rushed. I kept on having to remind myself about the passage of time.

This was a reoccurring problem for me throughout the book. The big gaps sometimes gave the essence that something was missing, and I missed it. I missed the in between.

I guess it's always a problem of wanting more.

Speaking of more. My absolute favorite part about this novel was the time Ellie spent with the Hotshots. I cherished every moment. I would have loved more, more, more of this. There was so much this book had to include, so I understand things having to be scaled down, but I would have loved more scenes of Ellie and her boys. More scenes of Ellie at the fires. Seriously, I could read a whole book about Ellie and the Hotshots. When they all stood up for her at the bar, I died. I seriously died in a gooey puddle on the floor, and I might have even clapped. I just loved everything about this, them....the whole thing. Loved!!

The end was a bit rushed for me and I seriously could have done without the whole Paige drama, but Tyler and the Hotshots made everything worth it. Tyler's unconditional heart is what made this book so special. Hell, Ellie even won me over in the end, but it was Tyler that held everything together. I'm so glad I lept.

READ ON!!

BEAUTIFUL BURN by Jamie McGuire

You know those books where you get lost in the story and don't even realize you're reading? Yeah, I was painfully aware of every second spent reading this. There was zero connection to Ellie's character and even at her weakest it just felt like reading words on a page...Not the best McGuire book, not by a looong shot.

The final installment in McGuire鈥檚 Beautiful series wraps up the Maddox brothers with emotional scenes, vivid characters, and a great story I will remember for some time.

This was my favorite in the Maddox brothers series, and not for the boy this time. I really adored Ellie. She starts out as an awful rich girl without a care in the world. As soon as the story starts I thought I would end up hating her, because she has some seriously messed up thoughts and actions. As the story progresses however, you see Ellie transform. Not all at once, but a little at a time. She has some setbacks, some greater than others. I just really loved going on this journey with her.

Ellie is a super sarcastic bitch, but I liked that about her too. Her wit wasn鈥檛 really charming, but a more 鈥渋n your face鈥 guard for her feelings. I loved watching her be melted a little at a time.

鈥淚 leaned over, barely touching my cheek to his arm. Without hesitation, Tyler reached around my shoulders and hugged me against his side. I stiffened at first, but then relaxed, feeling the warmth of his body thaw my frozen bones.鈥

As for Tyler, I think he might have been my favorite Maddox brother as well. It鈥檚 a tough choice between him and Trent (), but I love Beautiful Burn more so for now, Tyler. Tyler seemed different than the other Maddox brothers. He was still all alpha, but he seemed softer somehow.

鈥淲hen a Maddox boy falls in love, he loves forever鈥︹€

Tyler is so sweet. He has his own struggles, just like everyone else, but he really is perfect for Ellie whether she believes it or not. The fighting we endured in this book was a little different than the fighting Travis () is used to. Tyler is fighting for Ellie鈥檚 heart despite her doubts about him and love in general.

鈥淚鈥檓 a firefighter, Ellie. I do the saving in this relationship.鈥

After being cut-off by her parents, Ellie gets a gig doing photography for a local magazine. She is put to the task of following the hot shots to photograph and write a story on their work. I really liked getting to see first hand what the hot shots do when they are fighting fires. That was so interesting and something that was sort of a mystery in . In this book we get in depth knowledge and get to travel along for the ride during the season. Ellie follows the crew around for months getting shots of the wild fires and the crew as well as interviews and stories surrounding their jobs and lives. She becomes really close to the Alpine crew and it is really cute how attached they all become to her. She is kind of like a big sister/mom to them.

鈥淗olding my camera, freezing, and a mile from flames that could burn me alive, I鈥檇 finally found what I didn鈥檛 know I was looking for.鈥

Reading through Ellie鈥檚 demons was really hard. My heart broke for her many times. I wasn鈥檛 ever really mad at her for the choices she made, I seemed to get mad at everyone else for enabling her. Which I know is not right, but I just couldn鈥檛 seem to blame her. I wanted to help her, but sometimes no one can help you but yourself. You have to be willing.

鈥淭here was a dark part of me that just couldn鈥檛 let myself be happy, and sabotaged anything good before I could lose it.鈥

Seeing how I read this book in one sitting, I definitely liked it. It felt different from McGuire鈥檚 other 鈥淏eautiful鈥 books.

Also, this is my favorite cover out of all the Beautiful books. It is just so pretty!

P.S. Something that is really driving me crazy. Who sent the flowers???

This was my favorite in the series. I am surprised at how much I actually liked this book. I'm sad to see the series go now. I love the Maddoxes!

2 Estrellas!

Wow, this heroine is one completely fucked-up character. It鈥檚 like Jamie McGuire loathed this character so much she decided to ruin Ellie in every readers鈥 perspective.

Spoiled heiress. Check.
Self-centered bitch. Check.
Ungrateful bastard. Check.
Drugs and alcohol junkie. Check.
Traitor. Check.
Slut. Harlot. Whore. Multiple check.

And Tyler Maddox. Man, you are one big disappointment crawling on that woman鈥檚 ass, worshipping her from top to toe like she鈥檚 the best you鈥檝e ever had.

You blind, sweetie? Impaired hearing? If not, you so need a reality check. Or, you know, pull the goddamn trigger.

As much as I hated the characters, the plot cannot be put to one side as it is well written. Hence, the 3-star rate.

But I鈥檓 not confident to recommend this to anyone because, well, I cherish my life.

THE REVIEW

Why this book?

I read the rest of the books in this series

What I thought

This has got to be my second to last least favorite book of the series. Mainly because of Ellie she is such a bitch and in my opinion didn鈥檛 deserve Tyler. I know that鈥檚 what she kept whining about in the book but she was right he should鈥檝e found someone else. Even though her pushing him away all the time really got on my nerves. Tyler is a total sweetheart and if it wasn鈥檛 for him this book would be rated lower, because it isn鈥檛 his fault Ellie ruined the book for me. I鈥檓 just gonna leave off saying I was disappointed.

I couldn't be more excited for this book. In fact, the only thing better than a Maddox brother book from the love interest's POV is a book from the Maddox brother's POV. When do we get those? I want inside their heads!

so far I absolutely HATE Ellie. Probably the most unlikable lead character in a romance book I've ever read. I'll stick it out a little more, but really hate wasting my time.

:'( It hurts my heart to give one of the Maddox brother's story a one star but it was not Tyler's fault. I was absolutely disgusted with Ellison. If you are a spoiled rich girl with a nasty personality then this is for you. I didn't connect with her at all, she was such a nasty person. She put Tyler down every chance she could. I understand she was an alcoholic but it was the times she was sober that rubbed me the wrong way. From the start of the book she's a hoe and everybody knows it and after she has a one night stand with Tyler the next time she sees him she is horrible to him, making out with other men in front of him, telling people he has STD's, sleeping with another girl the same night she slept with him then sleeping with the man her sister is in love with because she took random pills with him and blacked out. Why do you keep going back to this girl?? She is awful. After wrecking her rich parents home for the hundredth time in a "plea for affection" they cut her off and make her get a job she proceeds to have a bitch fit temper tantrum. I don't know how she lands a job but her boss is a recovering alcoholic so they get along well. She is such a horrible person right up until 90% of the book is over and she goes to a rehab/detox center and miraculously turns into a better person. The only reason I even finished this book was because I love the Maddox brothers and the author. Just the things she would say "Under that douchbag facade you're actually a nice guy. I was drunk last night, so my radar was a little off, but I can smell you from a mile away. I don't want to be your friend. I don't want to reminisce about that one night stand we had that one time. I don't have time for nice guys, Tyler and I can't imagine a more powerfully dirty hell than to be forced with you sober." :/ Uhhhh, oh and she is sober when she says this so imagine the crap that comes out of her mouth when she's drunk. She's just a gross, repulsive, disrespectful person and I am never reading this book again, I'll miss reading about Tyler but I don't want to read about books starring mean, nasty, people seriously I run into enough of those in real life. So disappointing :( I seriously hope this will be the last mean girl heroine for the Maddox brothers.

It was free on Amazon und there are so many negative reviews about the heroine 鈥 I could not not read it *lol* I love different heroines, I take them in all shades, but please not a fluffy doormat.

Cool girl. I have no problem with her being rich. Why not? I鈥檓 not jealous of rich ppl, it鈥檚 great to be born into the money. It鈥檚 鈥榝unny鈥 how rich heroes (aka billionaires & Co) are popular in romance, and how often rich heroines are bashed due to their not-a-Cinderella-background.

Neither she nor he were my favorite main characters, but the story was different and I liked it a lot.

Not safe, but on the 鈥榞ood鈥 side. She wasn鈥檛 celibate after their 1st time (but still don鈥檛 get why didn鈥檛 she report her 鈥榖est鈥 friend for giving her drugs?!); he only kissed OW (or they didn鈥檛 mention possible OWs), he was a huge manho in the past, which is so freaking clich茅! But since she wasn鈥檛 a shy virgin, his past didn鈥檛 bother me much.

The book didn鈥檛 make me curious to read other books in this series, especially not the one about H鈥檚 f*ckface asshole twin brother, who cheated on his woman. Compared to that douchebag, this hero was a good person.

This book is for you if鈥 you want to know what happened to the love life of the remaining Maddox brother and in for an unusual love story - even in comparison to the other brothers.

猡 Preface.
Having finished this book on a Sunday evening, Reading "THE END." made me especially melancholic. This may have to do with the feeling a Sunday evening has ever since installed in me. It is a mixture of

1) content: I usually spend my Sundays going for walks, to the gym and reading a couple of chapters in between.
2) dread: because nobody likes the prospect of Monday morning - especially me since I am THE anti-morning person.
3) melancholy: ending yet another week of my life usually makes me think: have I used my time properly? Have I been socially, emotionally, spiritually and economically productive? What went wrong? For what was I mad at myself this week? What do I want to change?

猡 Overall.
Bringing these points together with the Maddox Brothers, a literary universe I have fallen in love with about 3 years ago and could not stop thinking about since makes for a powerful tonic that usually stirs me up quite a bit. But now to the story itself, in which Tyler, the second twin of the Maddox-Brothers, meets his forever woman, Ellie.

猡 What鈥檚 happening.
Ellie, however, may have a lot of stuff going on, but finding a permanent love interest isn't on her to-do-list. A one night stand with hot Tyler is everything she plans for, given that she strictly ever only spends one night with her sex partners, except if they are not ruined after that already - Paige - then she might incest a bit more time. This already being quite the fuck-up, it is important to know that Ellie is an addict, this book only ever talks about alcohol, but she has a serious smoking-problem as well. She has no regard for other peoples feelings and systematically trashes everything there is, a dysfunction probably rooted in the fact that her billionaire parents who live a jet-set life only every pay attention to her when the younger of her two daughters get into mischief. At this point in her life, she has lost all sense of reality and never sees it coming: her parents are kicking her out (figuratively speaking). She will no longer have access to their money or the other conveniences of a billionaire life. Instead, she will have to find a job and pay back the debts she owes to her parents due to all the damage her house-destroying home parties have caused. That does not sit well with Ellie, especially since the biggest problem this economic dryness is her no longer existing access to alcohol.

Due to happenstance, she finds a job with a local paper as the boss's assistant. Turns out Ellie, is good at things, too. Most of all, this seems to surprise her. Not quite as much, though, as the fact that her new job brings her bag to Tyler. This is especially inconvenient as he didn't stop making advances on her even though she made it clear she was not into long-term-stuff. But Tyler, being a Maddox doesn't give up. And boy, if it doesn't break my heart seeing him try to do his best to enchant the love of his life. It's a bit hard to aim for happily ever after, though, when your woman doesn't think she has it in her to love another, much less herself.

This is a truly touching story about fighting and forgiving, most of all yourself. I really enjoyed this and I am pleased to see that there is a lot more to come from the Maddox-universe.

My Short Summary
Beautiful Burn is the fourth book in McGuire's Maddox Brothers series. Tyler is a Maddox brother through and through. He's a tall, handsome, tattooed lady's man and a local Alpine Hotshot manwhore. He's a fierce lover of his family and a seasoned fighter. Ellie is a recent college grad spiraling out of control. She's a self destructive trust fund baby whose only lack in life was not lacking in anything.

After meeting under the influence in a lustful collision, Ellie and Tyler can't seem to stop running into each other. Neither one can deny the connection between them, but Ellie is determined to destroy it. She's rapidly falling to rock bottom where not even Tyler can bring her back. Can she save herself before it's too late?

What Did I Think?
In all honesty, I had some trouble sympathizing with Ellie in the beginning on this story. Her obvious attempts to thwart her relationship with Tyler in order to save him annoyed me. I dislike that angst type theme in books. As the depth of her addiction manifests, however, she grew on me. She reminds me of a toned down rated R version of CD Reiss's Fiona from Songs of Perdition. She's a hot mess and a prime example that addiction doesn't play favorites.

Tyler is everything you think a Maddox brother embodies. He loves hard and he can't stand to see Ellie destroying herself. He says sweet things and tries so hard to bring her around. Perhaps the deciding factor in rating this 4 stars versus 3, was the family aspect. Tyler and his love for his twin, Taylor, made my heart melt a few times. I'm a total sucker for brotherly love. Seriously, the love these brothers feel for each other over the pages of this series makes my face light up in huge smiles. Love books that make me do that..

Aside from our leading couple, the story gives us a beautiful look at the work of the Alpine Hotshots from an interesting perspective. We also get privy to some Maddox family scenes that add on to the overall series story line. There is no lack for drama in Elle's side of the family. Never a dull moment..

Before I finish my thoughts, I will add one critical thought. I found the conclusion of the book a bit reaching. For a book that centered on addiction, the wrap up was lacking depth. I realize it's contemporary romance, and things are supposed to be wrapped up with big red bows at the end, but it would have been nice to add a few more pages to the importance of it. I have to admit, it bothered me.

Overall, this is a solid story from Jamie McGuire. It's a quick, easy read. It is well written and I liked it well enough. This is the fourth book in the Maddox Brothers series. Please keep in mind that while this can be read as a standalone, it will enhance your reading experience if you read the series in order. I leave my rating at 4 stars.

Rating Legend:
5 star-loved it
4 star-liked it
3 star-it was okay
2 star-didn't like it

This book was supposed to be Tyler's but it ended up being Ellison's.
I actually didn't like Ellison, I just couldn't connect with her. She's a self destructive brat who doesn't care about anyone but herself.

"Are you like... off your meds or something?
- "Yes. Yes, I am. Emotional trauma, past baggage, you name it. Keep talking to me and I might be your next overly attached girlfriend. Does that sound like a good time to you?"

There was a time I thought to stop reading because I couldn't stand her, but I forced myself to continue and I'm glad I did it. Despite all of her flaws and terrible behavior, Ellison is just a girl searching for self-discovery, learning to love and embrace the person she really is, and finally finding her true purpose in life.

Tyler is my second favorite Maddox brother. Need to ask who's number one? Here's a hint.... "Drop your panties, ladies!" :D

Tyler Maddox is drop dead gorgeous, strong, caring, and dedicates his life to helping others. Just like any other Maddox brother when he falls in love he falls hard. I loved watching him and Ellison fall in love in their weird fu*ked up way.

"We're all a little fucked up. Not all of us use it to push anyone away."

"I've put you through hell"
-"If you're the fire, Ellie... I'll burn."

Finally, when it comes to rating, I will give this book a 4.5 because it would be much better if it was written from Tyler's POV.

Jamie gets real and deep with this one. She takes it to a whole new level with Beautiful Burn! I dare say that Ellie and Tyler might be my favorite couple in all of the Maddox Brothers series.

Ellison is one bad ass chick. She is so real and very enjoyable to read. Tyler is true to the Maddox characteristics. He is sexy, charming, goes for the girl who is not easy, and loves and fights fiercely no matter what is thrown his way.

The story was absolutely enthralling. I didn't want it to end. There were so many scenes and events that I just loved. Jamie is a master at story line placement and timelines. She always surprises you in the most delicious way.

This may have been the last book in the Maddox Brothers series but it was the most enjoyable. I cannot believe I am saying this because I have loved all of the books. However there was SO much about this book that rounded out the Beautiful series and brought it all full circle to me. I loved every minute, and every word on the pages.

I'm one of those eagerly looking forward in reading Tyler and Elli's story. Their cameos from the first three books just excites me. But then, when I actually get to read their story, why do I feel like its better to just get to know them from those cameos?

I didn't feel any connection with Tyler and Elli at all. I couldn't really get into their story. I didn't get invested on it. I feel like there is a missing "Jamie Mcguire Magic" here.

Thoroughly looking into it, Tyler and Elli has the deepest story out of this series. There is waaaaaay more than the surface of these two - a lot of struggles and getting used to but their connection to me, the reader was just not there.

Another thing is a lot happened. Given, the story has a long time span but then why does it feels like everything happened just as fast or told haphazardly? The story didn't give me a chance to digest one thing that is happening and then suddenly another scenario will come.

Others may love this but this Maddox story is not just it to me and I kinda actually feel bad about it because I deeply love the Maddox Brothers. Will there be more? I don't really know but I think this is already the final novel. But I still thank Jamie Mcguire for the Maddox Brothers and the hotness that they bring on my reading world. ;)

Disclosure: Some spoilers ahead - read this review at your own risk. (Sorry guys, not sure how to put my feelings about this one into a review without explaining things that happened along the way)

Whoa. What a roller coaster. I don't even know where to start. I love the Maddox brothers and I have really enjoyed this whole series.

I didn't really like Ellie when she appeared in the other books in the series (I love how they all intertwine and overlap by the way) and I didn't particularly like her in this one either.

At first I thought oh wow she's a massive bitch and then she started to get her act together. I'm thinking yeah good here we go, we'll see the real Ellie and the good side of her will learn to come out. Wrong. I hated how she made no attempt to help herself. She was going so well at the start and then gave up caring.

I hated how she treated Tyler, always with the excuse "I warned you!" - dude grow up, you can't use that as an excuse for your behaviour. You don't treat people that way constantly. Part of it was because she needed to learn to love herself, and to get out of the situation her life had fallen into, but still I wasn't impressed. I also thought Tyler put up with too much shit from Ellie, not something a lot of people would do. Shows another side of loving the bad with the good, but I think this was a bit too far. But typical of the Maddox brothers it shows his love for his girl and how he's willing to hang around and fight for her or whatever the case may be.

I particularly didn't like how people helped enable Ellie. Especially JoJo and Paige- taking her to the bar? Seriously? Even Tyler should've seen what was going on but he didn't. I guess you can hide these things really well when you're an addict, but I still feel that all these people who were close to her should've seen what was going on and made an effort to help her out.

Tyler realised this by the end, which was good, but the others didn't seem to care. I loved Tyler's character and his trademark Maddox cockiness and love for the girl he fell for, but he's not my favourite Maddox. Trav and Trent will always be my favourites.

I did really enjoy how Ellie fit in with the hotshots crew and how they all worked like a family. That's a great side to see in the book. And how she found a passion for photography. As an amateur/hobby photographer myself that's something I can relate to. I also liked how she is by the end of the book in terms of being a trust fund baby and the fact that she doesn't really care about that much anymore. You can see it throughout the book, but when she finally stands up to her Mum at the end it's the most obvious point and the best point.

I really loved having the overlap with the other books way back to Abby and Trav, which has been consistent throughout the series. It gives it that little bit extra I think and shows other sides of the timeline we haven't seen before.

All in all a great instalment in the series and a must read for Maddox Brothers fans.

(I was pleased to read after the end that Jamie McGuire is doing a novel about a couple of the secondary characters in this book. Bound to be interesting as always)

And when a Maddox boy falls in love, he loves forever.

It's still Trav and Trent for me, sorry guys <3

Beautiful Burn is the fourth and final book in The Maddox Brothers series. This book could be read as a standalone (as it is about Tyler). However, all of the books are connected. So if you are ever going to read them then they should be read in order (including Beautiful Disaster and Walking Disaster).

This book features Tyler Maddox a firefighter who is Taylor Maddox's twin brother.

The narrator is Ellison/Ellie, a spoiled brat/rich girl.

When the book begins we meet Ellison. And she is not very nice. She is not a very likable heroine. She is super rich. She is very mean. She has parties at her parents house and damages their property. I found her to be awful, inconsiderate and rude. I could not figure out how Tyler could be interested in somebody so mean. And I was wondering how she could ever be redeemed.

Something happens and Ellison's circumstances change. I actually really liked how this affected the story.

Tyler and Taylor are both Alpine Hotshots (they fight wildfires). This is such an intriguing profession. And it was very interesting to get to see so much of their job.

I really enjoyed Tyler. He is a great character. And I did end up enjoying his friendship with Ellison. It was an interesting story.

The timelines of these books are a bit weird. Usually in every other series I've read (even where the books all focus on different couples like these) the books take place chronologically (the first book takes place, then the second book takes place a bit later, and so on). But these books basically all take place at the same time. So we get cross-over scenes. It is definitely an interesting approach. However, it makes critical parts of the story non-events, since we already know what happened. There was a big dramatic thing that happened towards the end of the book. It should have been upsetting. It should have been a big twist. However, we already knew how it played out. So while it is interesting to get another perspective about the event. It is sort of weird to have the same story told over and over. There were 2 events that I have now seen 2, 3, 4 or even 5 times. It starts to feel redundant seeing the same thing over and over.

I was definitely impressed that the author was able to take the most unlikable girl and make her interesting. The girl at the beginning of the book was completely unrelatable. But she ended up having to deal with real issues.

Overall, I feel like the book sort of just ended. And I would have liked to see a bit more, including an epilogue. However, Tyler was a gem and I really enjoyed his story.

Raw, intense, no holds barred, SEXY, scorching passion; all words I would use to descried the amazingness that is Beautiful Burn! Each book in the Maddox Brothers series never fails to capture my attention and steal away my heart, but Tyler Maddox has captured my heart and soul. He鈥檚 everything you would expect from a Maddox man confident, playful, charming , sexy; but he also has this sweet romantic side that, aside from Travis, we never saw too much of with the rest of the brothers. The way he falls for Ellie is swoon worthy. He cares for her so much and would do anything for her; which is one of the reasons I wanted to slap Ellie when she would hurt him or beat herself down when she thought she didn鈥檛 deserve happiness. But I loved her through it all and she is definitely one of my favorites.
The best way I can describe Ellie is鈥 a bad-ass hot mess. She is this in your face whirlwind of a women who speaks her mind and loves you as hard as she pushes you away. You know she has so much love in her heart and could express it if she could just heal her own soul. Like I said before, I wanted to slap her at some points in the novel, but then I would turn around and feel proud and excited for her the next.
Beautiful Burn brought up similar emotions that Beautiful Disaster made me feel, but there is no way to compare the two as far as the story-line. Tyler and Ellie鈥檚 story is very unique; it鈥檚 raw and uncut, which was refreshing to read, but you still know you are reading about a Maddox Brother. Jamie McGuire knocked it out of the park with this one, and ended the series with a BANG! She didn鈥檛 hold back with this one, and at some points had me covering my mouth or grabbing onto my cheeks with anticipation over what was going to happen next! Beautiful Burn is definitely my favorite in the Maddox Brothers series and was the perfect ending to the perfect series!

KISSES
