This is my very first read by Mary Catherine Gebhard so I really didn't know what to expect but... When I saw this beautiful cover and read the synopsis on I could not pass it up and holy hell, I love it!!! I was hooked from beginning to end and I seriously couldn't put it down. This is defiantly one of my favorite reads of the year. So happy I give it a chance :) It did not disappoint. Skater Boy really pulled at my heart-strings and made me tear up in a few places ...more

“For the first time maybe ever, it didn't matter if I looked beautiful or not. I felt it.
Scenes from Celeste are just that. Three different short scenes from Celestes Perspective. Which includes The Arrival (meeting America, Marlee and Ashley), The Kiss (Celeste tryng to seduce Maxon) and The Departure (leaving the selection).
Oh boy, I really despised Celeste throughout The Selection series but she won me over in The One. Celeste was the main villain in The Selection series and I gotta admit I loved hating her... but I loved getting to love her even more. I just wish she would have realized all her errors much sooner than she did because I would have loved to have so much more from her. In The Selection we meet this mean, manipulative, vindictive, bitter girl who was there for all the WRONG reasons. But once she realizes all her stupid petting mistakes we get to see a whole other side to her. We get to see her vulnerability and kindness and her chance at redemption. She turns out to be such a wonderfully sweet person and an even better friend to America. I love getting to see Celeste grow out of it and the ending to The One seriously Broke. My. Heart!
Anyways, Scenes from Celeste gives us a better understanding of her actions and I really loved being inside of her head even though they were extremely too damn short! I would have loved having so so much more. I recommend this to all The Selection fans out there :)

*"Sweet Baby Jesus!" This. Was. Epic! Absofreankinlutely PHENOMENAL!!!*
I cried. I laughed. I cried some more. Kingdom of Ash was insanely good, it was also really funny and oh so heartbreakingly sad! I got hit with feels one after another and had a few strokes along the way. It gave me a maelstrom of emotions that I still feel days after finishing it. Which is why it's taken me so long to write this review. I had to take a step back to get my thoughts organized. Throne of Glass series was one hell of a rollercoaster ride, one I never wanted to get off. Sarah J. Maas is one talentedly brilliant women! I can't fathom how anyone could possibly hate this set of books, each book surpasses the last. The ONLY word to describe this series as a whole is E.P.I.C.!! Kingdom of Ash is action-packed, tons of adventures, full of twists and turns, fast pasted and it's very intense! I was at the edge of my seat throughout most of it. I seriously love this book/series. The world is very expansive and it just kept expanding with each passing book. The characters are outstanding every last one of them even the ones I despise *cough cough* Erawan, Maeve and most of all Cairn. Gods, he's such a bastard! All the shit he and the bitch Maeve put Aelin through for the first 30% of the book or so broke my heart and I really felt bad for her. Each character's growth is done extremely well and I love the dynamics of each relationship. I truly love Aelin and Rowan. Rowan has been my favorite since Heir of Fire. They bring out the best in one another as well as accept the darkest parts too. All the main characters are broken up into 5 different groups •Aelin, Fenrys, Maeve, and Cairn. •Aedion, Lysandra, and the army. •Rowan, Gavriel, Lorcan, and Elide. •Chaol, Yrene, Nesryn, and Sartaq. •Dorian, Manon, and the Thirteen. They all merge back together towards the end and fight the good fight in the final battle against Erawan, Maeve and the hoard of Morath. Though I must admit there was ONE thing I was really unhappy about and that was (view spoiler)[Gavriel getting reunited back with his son Aedion just to die a couple of pages later, oh that made me so mad and I thought it was such a senseless death. (hide spoiler)] Still, I was really impressed with how it all came together in the end conclusion. Nothing could deter me from giving it the full 5 's. They are well deserved. The end to this very long and amazing series is a bittersweet one and I already miss these characters dearly ...more

My Kenji & Nazeera [image] [image] This was me like a 100% when finding out there was gonna be a Kenji novella!! [image]
I love Kenji! I love Kenji! I love Kenji! I love Kenji!
Kenji being a fan favorite is a bit of an understatement in my opinion! Kenji is the rock of the Shatter Me series. He's the best friend/lover everyone should want and also inspire to be. He's true to his word, loyal, brutally honest, and his sense of humor is fantastic. Kenji just has the most amazing personality. I don't know how anyone in their right mind could ever not LOVE him! His character is everything, one of my absolute favorite characters of all-time. Kenji deserves all the happiness and love in the world! I love that we got an inside look at the development of his relationship with Nazeera. I really enjoyed her character in Restore Me and this just solidified it even more. Kenji was hilarious as usual and the scenes between him and Warner was just the cherry on top. Every scene that involves those two together is always golden. And the ones with Juliette and Kenji always warms my heart.
I was beyond excited to have Kinji's POV, it's been a long time coming. I’m normally not the biggest fan of novellas, they are never quite long enough to satisfy me but Shadow Me was wonderful. This was a perfect look inside the thoughts of Kenji (everyone's favorite) and seeing the events of Restore Me unfold through his eyes. This novella just about killed me. My gosh, it was heartbreaking at times that I actually shed a few tears. It gave me a rollercoaster of emotions. Overall, this was really a great read. Though I will admit I was hoping for more back story on his life. But still, I wasn't disappointed. Mafi is an amazing writer and an absolute genius. I truly hope we get more of Kenji's POV in Defy Me.

I have said it and I'll say it again and again... and again. Fraizer is absolutely positively brilliant! She's the QUEEN of Dark Romance and this book is another prime example of why she's one of my all-time favorite authors! She's one hell of a storyteller and world builder. ♥I LOVE YOU T.M. Frazier! Okay. Now let's get to the book at hand, shall we :) Perversion was quite possibly the best book I've read this year (rereads not included). The writing, the world, the characters, everything is what I expected it to be which is phenomenal. It's exactly what you'd expect when reading an T.M. Frazier book. It was heart-pounding, thrilling, dark, gritty, intense, raw and dangerous. I was completely and utterly addicted. Seriously, I didn't put it down for shit! I was hypnotized from the Prologue to the very last page. The world building was done in such a way that I had a mental picture the whole time I was reading. I could see everything clearly like watching a movie. A badass movie ;) The details were very well done. Perversion is written in dual perspectives which are Tristan Paine (Grim) and Emma Jean (Tricks). All the characters were exceptional and really well developed. I just love Emma Jean so much that girl is truly something else. I love that through everything thus far she has remained defiant, brave and strong. She's fiercely loyal and protective of those closest to her like her best friend (more like sisters) Gabby. Grim, what do I even say about the man other than DAMNNNN, I can't get me enough of him and where can I get me one? He's definitely one of my new favorite Frazier men that's for damn sure. He's dark, moody, a leader, a protector, a family man and a lover. Sighhhh, Grim is everything 😍😍!! Yes, there are many characters like Gabby, Marci, Belly, Sandy, and Haze that I could dive into and tell you all the things I liked about them but I'm not going to do that, Just know they all bring something wonderful to the table. While this first book is dark I didn't feel like it was as dark as the King series and other related books. I recommend this to everyone who loves dark romance, read this NOW don't WAIT. It's just that good!
*One more thing that pushed this book OVER the TOP was the, (view spoiler)[character crossover. Yeah that's right we get a few seconds with ♥Bear and during that time he gets a phone call from nonother than Samuel Motherfucking Clearwater aka ♥Preppy! (hide spoiler)]
Side note to future readers: This book does end on a cliffhanger. You've been WARNED.
My prediction for Possession book #2: If you haven't yet read Perversion STOP(view spoiler)[So I have this feeling that it wasn't really Gabby who did the betraying at the end. I just don't want to think that after everything Gabby and Emma Jean have gone through together that she would actually turn traitor. I just can't! I won't believe it until I have no other choice and that's that! Beside Emma Jean was delirious after everything that had transpired that night. So here's what I'm thinking, I think instead of her "thinking" it was Gabby that she heard/seen that it was actually Gabby's sister Mona. If I recall right they were only like 10 months apart in age and also they looked A LOT alike. I don't know the how, when or why, I just don't believe we've seen the last of Mona. But hey, maybe I'm just talking out of my ass and I'm wrong 😂😂. What are your opinions?(hide spoiler)]

Wow, this was another awesome and final novella in the Throne of Glass series. I thoroughly enjoyed reading The Assassin and the Empire very very much :) It was addicting and I couldn't read it fast enough. I love all the sweet moments in Celaena's apartment with Sam. Sam is quite the catch and there is no way in hell you can't fall in love with the guy. And even though I knew it was coming it did absolutely nothing to soften the BLOW to my heart! The ending was one of the saddest damn endings I've read in this series and I don't know how I'll ever recover. I'm broken and even kinda mad at this point. Even if you know what Sam's fate is going to be before this it's obvious that the mission is gonna be a complete and utter failure, also even before you learn of the setup. But still, I really wished this could have had a different outcome and at the same time if this didn't happen I wouldn't have Rowan and well... I just wouldn't be cool with that. Anyways I love all the action and even though this left a gaping hole in my chest it's still one of my favorites and therefore it's also a must-read.

Well damn! This was even better than Throne of Glass!! It wasn't quite at a 5-star yet. But still, I think it outshines the first book in many ways. I immensely enjoyed reading Crown of Midnight. The world Sarah J. Maas has created is very fascinating and exciting and it draws me in completely. Again as in the first book it did take a while for it to really get started. It was pretty slow at first but it made up for it in the long run. Sarah J. Maas likes going out with a bang! I hated to put it down once it really got going. This one was definitely a page-turner! It has ALL the FEELS!!! I love the way Maas tells a story and the way she's able to bring her character to life. The world-building and all the character growth was perfect. It had just the right amount of mystery, magic, betrayal, lies, passion, intrigue, death and of course secrets. In Crown of Midnight, it builds upon the things we have learned and it adds so many more new elements to the story as well. I'm not gonna lie though it was a bit repetitive and while it did have a lot of twists and turns they were all pretty predictable. Then again I find that to be true with most YA books and yet I still read and love them! There was also more action as well which I thoroughly enjoyed and a few parts even managed to bring tears to my eyes. Yeah, there was most certainly some very emotional moments. It has all the stuff that keeps my interests like it has princes, castles, love and betrayal, corruption and politics, evil queens, adventure and of course a fascinating world, but also magical powers. I have a real weakness for magic, magic is everything I love! The pacing was dead on, it didn't drag out and it didn't skip over all the important parts. There were tons of twists and turns and a lot of action! Silvers have powers. Reds don’t! That is until Mare Barrow the heroine of course. Mare is awesome! She is a poor red girl from the stilts. The world has been beating her people down and oppressing them for a long, long time. She is very brave and loyal to her family and friends, she'll do whatever is necessary to protect them. Mare is also sarcastic which is hilarious, I love all her snarky comebacks. As for the brother's Cal and Maven, I love love love love love Cal! Besides Maven is freaking crazy! Wow! This. Book. Is. Insanely good!! Finally, after having read several books this year I found what I was looking for, something that sucked me in completely and had me entranced from the very first page :) I literally could NOT put it down, I was that hooked! It was such a fun, entertaining, addictive, and a pull at the heartstrings kinda read. Oh my, all the FEELS this book gives. It broke my heart so many times. I even shed a few tears. I also really like/enjoyed the direction that Adrienne Young took this story in. Though I will admit I'm a little sad that this is a stand-alone. The need to have more of these characters is unparalleled. I just want more 😭😭...
This book is very Viking-inspired, which is another reason I love it so much. (Note to self: Read move books like this in the near future.) Sky in the Deep is everything I love when it comes to YA. From the writing to the world-building to the characters I fell in love with, everything is superb. The world was dark and gritty, it was violent, brutal and bloody, it was a generations-long feud between two clans, about honor, strength, and bravery, about war and betrayal, friendships old and new, about family ties and finding love in the most unlikely places. It has a little Norse mythology which I also love. Seriously what more could I ask for? It has it all!
“Everything I’d ever been taught didn’t fit into the shape of this world.
The main heroine Eelyn (I love her name) was all I hoped she'd be when starting this. She is a true badass Viking warrior (shield-maiden) who isn't afraid to face down her enemies (not even grown Viking men) on or off the battlefield. Eelyn proves her strength and bravery time and time again. I love her determination and loyalty to those she loves. She is also very proud and defiant. Though she is the product of her environment, in a culture that's all about loyalty to the clan in her case (the Aska). The saying they live by is Honor above Life. When Eelyn finds herself on opposite sides (against her will) with the Riki (the rival clan) let's just say... she doesn't take it well. Especially with the betrayal of her brother so raw in her heart and the hard truth that he chose the Riki over his own family. She's bitter and hurt by this (obviously). But she soon learns that not everything is black and white and that family is more than just blood. She becomes confused with her feelings and starts to rethink their beliefs. Though the road she gets lead down certainly isn't an easy one, I loved getting to see her involve and learn that she and her people really aren't so different from the Riki and we see a different kinda strength in her. Eelyn is fierce and yet vulnerable. ♥My favorite kind of heroine :)
“I couldn’t go. I couldn’t leave this place.
I love Eelyn's brother Iri, and that regardless of his decisions he stood by what he believed in. And just because he choose the Riki family it didn't mean he loved his any less. He loved them very much but he couldn't change the way he felt or the relationships he formed with the family that saved his life.
“I don't belong to you. “Yes, you do. He pulled the hair back out of my face so he could look at me. “Like I belong to you. [image] Fiske, I was really into this character (one of my favorites). He is the hero in the story and he is such a brute ;) He's strong and brave and loyal... and a bit of a jerk. I LOVE that this was more of a slow burn romance and not one of those love at first sight (eye-rolling) kinda love stories that are so entwined with the YA genre. It was a nice change. I love the bond that was forged between him and Eelyn and the long prosses it took to get them to that point. In the beginning, there was a lot of tension and arguing. It was wonderful watching their relationship grow and the two of them learning to trust in one another first. It made their relationship and their (love) all the more believable in my opinion.
“S á l fjotra is a bond between souls. “This kind of bond is formed when a soul is broken. It’s formed through pain, loss, and heartbreak.
I really did fall in love with all these amazing characters. From Eelyn's father, Aghi to her best friend Mýra, from Fiske's little brother Halvard to his mother Inge. They are all complicated character and I adore them to pieces! Each and every one of them stole a piece of my heart in one way or another. I loved getting to know them and seeing the strained (at first) relationships begin to grow and I loved seeing them all come together to defeat a common enemy and the character growth that brought with it.
Oh, The love I have for this story is so immense. I love that this story is actually about family and love. Not a generations-long war between two clans. But FAMILY... and what ties them all together isn't just the blood they share. Family can also be a choice. Family is unconditional love, trust, respect, and acceptance. It was amazing seeing these two clans come together and bridge the gap that has existed between them for far too long. [image] There are many mixed reviews for this book, but I absolutely love it! So yeah, I 100% recommend Sky in the Deep to anyone and everyone who loves's a strong badass heroine, a dark brutal world, a slow burn romance and a story about the love and strength of family. You won't be disappointed. But if you are... You're crazy lol.
Although this story has come to an end, I can't wait to get back into this world with The Girl the Sea Gave Back. So so excited! September can't get here soon enough.

[image] Wow!!! I just need to take a moment to say, I really wasn't expecting to enjoy "Crystal Storm" as much as I did. It was actually really really good :D I'm almost in disbelief that this book is from the same series I have been reading this past month. Seriously like WHAT?? Why couldn't the whole series have been this good? It's only taken me to read 5 damn books to finally be truly happy with it's outcome! I can't think of one thing I absolutely despised about this. I know, I know, shocker right?? Well it's true, I loved ittt!!! It was a fast passed read and a lot more action then all the other books. Thank goodness, because I hate when books are slow and drag on and on. I also enjoyed all the twists and turns. In Crystal Storm a lot of people die, that or come back to life. Ya know because when is comes to stories of magic people/things don't always stay dead. There are characters that I do not like or that I don't get their purpose. I'm not a fan of Nic at all but I will deal with his idiocy if only for Cleo :) I still don't understand Jonas's part in this series, other than him being a complete and utter failure! Seriously though, what does he bring to this ragtag group? The answer to this question is absolutely freaking NOTHING!!! Then there is Princess Lucia, I don't entirely know how to feel about her. Sometimes I hate her and other time I think I just might like her... ¯\_()_/¯. Those are the main three i'm not sure about. As for the ones I do like, I will start with my #1 Princess *Durmmm Rolll Pleeease* ♥Princess Cleiona Aurora Bellos-Damora :) She is what has kept me coming back book after book, without Cleo, I probably wouldn't have gotten this far. Even if its annoying that every man within a 5 feet radius is head over heels for her lol (same goes for Lucia). Cleo is what makes this whole series worth while and I don't care if anyone disagrees with me! Not only is her hair and skin golden but so is her heart! Magnus has gained a lot of brownie points with me in these last two books, Frozen Tides & Crystal Storm. I can finally say with sincerity that I really do like him :D What can I say...? The dark Prince has grown on me! I love the relationship between Cleo and Magnus a whole bunch too. It's the only relationship that wasn't born out of insta-love!! In fact they HATED each other for the longest time and sometime I think they still do 😂😂. Both of these character have grown so much over the past 5 books. I really like Felix as well and I wish his character played a much bigger part. The same goes for Nerissa, I really like her and wish she was more prominent in this series :) The last thing I wanna add is, Holy shit!!! That cliffhanger is one of the worst ever! I am sooo happy that I don't have to wait to find out what happens next. I really freaking hope the final book in this series holds up against this one, because I really don't wanna be let down with another book in the Falling Kingdoms series.

T.M. Frazier you have done it yet again! I mean seriously how in the hell do you do it? It's masterpiece after masterpiece, you never disappoint especially when it comes to the dark and gritty! You're the motherfuckin QUEEN but you don't need me to tell you that ;) I just wanted to say thanks yet again for successfully keeping BOTH of US at the edge of our seats! We LOVE you!!! 😘😘😘 [image] *Warning: This book contains violence, consensual and nonconsensual sex, abuse, bad language and other taboo subject matter.* [image] “I'll bathe in the blood of my enemies. And when my time is up and I arrive in hell, even the demons will bow down. Because the devil has come home.
“No killing kids. Or women, unless they shoot first. Understood? “Everyone else fucking dies. [image] Oh, my-my this was just WOW! That ending was just WOW! All I can say right now is... WOW! I'm a bit speechless after that cliffhanger. Seriously what the hell was that shit? How on earth could you leave your fans hanging like that? *Screams* T.M. Frazier you are an evil malicious woman. I hate you and I love you all at the same time 😘! All I want to do is scream and cry and curl up in a ball until Permission comes out in December to free me of this misery and sadness. Possession was fast-paced, hella intense and very suspenseful, it was action-packed and full of twists and turns. It was also raw and gritty, passionate and SEXY, emotional, and it was full of betrayal, brutality, and guns blazing. I can't believe how quickly I devoured this book! One minute I was reading and the next it was all over. I read this in one sitting. I. Could. NOT. Put. It. Down! If there was a fire I would have burned alive it was that captivating. My eyes were glued to the pages. I love every moment spent in this crazy kill or be killed world! Everything was as I expected it would be and so much more. I absolutely love this world and all the character crossovers are just splendid! It really does add that little extra pinch of greatness. Really though the characters are just perfect! I can't get enough of Emma Jean and of course Grim. I think I might be in love 😍! He's just so alluring and dangerous and sweet and covered in tattoo *sigh*. I likey I likey a LOT 😍😍😍! I want to mention that the prediction I made at the end of Perversion was right on the money! I so freaking called it. (view spoiler)[That it was Mona, NOT Gabby! (hide spoiler)] Woot Woot :) Also, Possession broke my heart into a million little pieces and I don't know how I'll ever survive it 😭😭😭. I can't bear the wait for Permission the final book in this trilogy to be released... but here it goes.
“The broken don’t need to be put back together, they need to be loved for all their pieces.
*PS.Whatever you do, do NOT read the Excerpt for Permission. If you thought the cliffhanger for this book was jaw dropping then the Excerpt will give you a damn heart attack!!! You've all been warned. [image] *Let's take a minute to appreciate these impressively striking covers, I mean WOW it's beautiful!* [image] [image] “We're magnets always being pulled together. This trilogy has got to be one of the best things I've read this entire year (2018). It was so intense! I devoured each book as quickly as possible. I love T.M. Frazier book's so much! She is the queen of the anti-hero variety! Tough guys with heart and girls with guts. I love her characters and the Perversion trilogy is no exception. If you haven't started this trilogy yet GET THE GODDAMN BOOKS! I love you T.M. Frazier!!!! [image] *Warning: This TRILOGY contains violence, consensual and nonconsensual sex, abuse, bad language, and other taboo subject matter.* [image] “Rage. Revenge. Redemption
Holy good gods, this book is smashing! T.M. Frazier has done it again... She has delivered another exemplary book/trilogy to us 😁. It truly has it all; the raw dark grittiness that I crave, a little humor, a lot of angst, flawed characters, crazy twists, and turns, intrigue, suspense, and steamy scenes. It has just the right amount of violence, sex, and romance. Permission also obliterated my heart in a zillion tiny pieces 😭😭😭. I drowned in and immersed myself in the Perversion trilogy. I couldn't have demolished Permission faster, my eyes were glued to the pages and I just couldn't put it down. I really don't think I could have enjoyed this any more than I have. The conclusion was EVERYTHING I had hoped it to be and so so much more. I was 100% not disappointed in any aspect of this trilogy. I was entertained from beginning to end and Permission successfully answered all the questions I had and even threw in some surprises too. These characters are everything! I absolutely fell in love with Emma Jean and Grim and even more importantly, I fell in love with them as a couple. Emma Jean and Grim have my vote for the best book couple of the year. This was the perfect way to end this trilogy. I am going to miss these characters deeply that's why I can only hope Frazier will give us more Bedlam with Sandy and Gabby.
This trilogy is a must read and I can’t wait for Nine in 2019. Please hurry it up!!!

“Suffering is like anything else. Live with it long enough, you learn to like the taste. [image] Oh, Sweet baby JESUS!!! WOW! Umm... Where do I even begin? This was amazing, fantastic, brilliant, phenomenal even. There isn't a word out there that could give 'Crooked Kingdom' the justice it deserves in my opinion. Truly though these first two books are absolutely beautiful. I finished reading it yesterday 7/31/18 and I am still having a hard time writing this damn review because my emotions are still going haywire! I laughed and I cried more times then I can count. It was just so freaking SAADDD, from the flashbacks to all the sweet heartfelt moments. My heart cracked and chipped away ...more
