Over the course of a few months I got to experience a re-discovery of oneself and (perhaps?) The opening of our main character's self -imposed shell. Kiela's daring escape from a city with a rising rebellion outbreak into the sticks where she was first born thrusts her far beyond her comfort zone and how she develops and deals with these new unexpected situations are fun and of course a classic loner being force to *gasp* rely on others is enjoyable to read 😌 I've always enjoyed stories about human (or close enough to human) characters, while comfortable enough alone, jumping at the chance to trust another. Forming new connections they would have never expected and seeing how it plays out. And does it work out? I'll leave that for you to read about. ]]>
