There is no denying that Tasha Suri is an incredibly skilful writer. From her beautiful prose to her compelling characters, I have found myself hanging by every word she has placed on the page.

Unfortunately, the conclusion of this series did leave me wanting for more. In terms of how things have been wrapped up, it did not feel like we as readers have sat long enough with the entirety of what has happened throughout the books in order for it to truly feel like goodbye. The pacing remains my biggest issue with her works—it stumbles, and I’ve found myself setting the book aside for months before reluctantly picking it up again, simply because I had to finish it at some point. Thus it is in no way a matter of emotional impact (which we had plenty of), but rather, in my opinion, a matter of editing.
