Soon I hope!
I wanted to have it ready for January of 2019, but 2018 was a tire fire of a year for my family with three close family deaths all within 1-2 months from each other which consumed a lot of my free time and emotional energy. So now I'm way behind.
The rough draft isn't quite finished but I'd say it's 3/4 done so I'm desperately hoping to finish it, edit it, and get it out before summer. You've all waited long enough!
But don't worry - it IS going to be finished. I know exactly what happens it's just a matter of getting onto paper in a way that does justice to Howie and Stella's story. I even have the cover design ready to go.
Feel free to nag me all you want - knowing that my fans are waiting is definitely a big boost when I'm feeling low.
In the meantime I hope you've collected the bonus stories to help tide you over. Certain events in History may take on new meaning after you've read those!
Not to mention that Chemistry reads a little differently the second time now that you know more about what actually went down...

Yes! At least, I think so. I assume you're asking if the character comes into my head before writing. That is definitely the case, although usually just one or two main characters. The rest sort of populate the world as I write and often those characters are the ones I enjoy writing the most - like Stella's parents, who were not pre-conceived but are some of my favorite to write, and who also appear to be fan favorites as well.
I have some characters floating around my head who don't have a home yet, and I spend a lot of time trying to create a plot for them.
Stella was kind of a special case, as she's the only character I conceived with pen and paper. When I started to write her, she came to life and became so much more than her bullet point list.

Thank you, and what a great question! I've marketed as Young Adult because it is about a seventeen year old girl and it deals with high school issues such as bullying, body image, and first love. Plus zombies. I mean, remember YOUR first zombie outbreak? Talk about embarrassing. Would never want to be a teenager again!

It is on Netgalley now!

...Writing? I mean, if you don't enjoy that part, it's not for you.

Honestly? My thorough dislike of the Twilight series. Don’t get me wrong, I admire Stephenie Meyer for everything that she has accomplished, but I had some really strong objections to both her writing style and the message that she was transmitting to teenage girls. I wrote some blog posts about it which got a lot of attention it really boosted my traffic and when NaNoWriMo came around I decided to sit down and write a book that was the opposite of Twilight. And that book turned into Chemistry.
