When will you write anther supernatural story with vampires, demons and witches as well as humans? I know you got one brewing inside of you. I so enjoy all of your stories. Thank you.

Charlaine Harris Lynn, my Gunnie Rose books are full of witchcraft and magic, as well as a lot of gun fighting. There are six of them, so you can enjoy. I don't know that I'll ever write vampires again. But I'm looking forward to what comes next.

Thank you from a fan! The only series I haven't been able to get my hands on are the Cemetery Girl books. I don't know how many times I've re-read / listened to the audio versions of the Gunnie Rose series - I've enjoyed them SO much. Eagerly anticipating "The Last Wizards' Ball" Gutted that it's to be the last in the series - is that really the end of the tales for these characters?

Charlaine Harris Thanks, Susan. My publisher determined this would be the last Gunnie Rose book, but that having been said, it certainly has a huge ending. I'll be writing something new, and having a good time, as always. Thanks for reading and listening to my work.

So I might be only one of a handful of people that have ever played your game Dead by Daylight and also reads books, so I thought I'd ask here if there is ever going to be a sequel? I absolutely loved the game and have always hoped for more!

Charlaine Harris The company that made the game quit doing original work, so the sequel got sidelined. I was just as disappointed as you were.

I love the sookie statehouse series. will you every do any spin off series to it?

Charlaine Harris Thanks. I hope you've also enjoyed my most recent series, the Gunnie Rose books. I have thought of a spin off book, but I really haven't plotted one. The Midnight Texas books contained one or two of the characters from Sookie series.

Good morning, Charlaine! I hope you're having a wonderful start to your weekend. I just finished the Midnight Texas series. I am wondering if that series is done? Will there be any follow up books? I loved the characters and the crossovers from other series. As much as I love Sookie, Fiji is a damn fine character that gives Sook a run for her money! Well done, ma'am, well done!

Charlaine Harris Thanks, I really enjoyed writing those books. The publisher has made it clear they don't want anymore Midnight books, but maybe someday I'll write one for myself.

I absolutely LOVED Harper Connelly books and I rarely see them mentioned. Will we ever see more of Harper and Tolliver?

Charlaine Harris I'd enjoy writing another book about them, but I'd have to see if my original publisher would want it. I'm not going to say "never" on that one.

I'm sure other people have asked, but I'm rereading the Sookie Stackhouse books and I'm wondering how Sookie would have handled the intrusive thoughts some people suffer? Would they have been just "felt" different, like not a genuine thought?

Charlaine Harris I'm not sure I understand, Nellie. Can you explain?

Did you write Maryann into the show or did the producers/directors? I found that was so different than the books. It threw me off for a while.

Charlaine Harris To clarify, I didn't write the show. I wrote the books. She is a character in the books, yes. She's a maenad.

Hi Charlaine, I have read so many of your books. My favorites are the Sookie Stackhouse books. Are there more in the works?

Charlaine Harris I don't think I'll ever write another Sookie book. There are six books in my current series, the Gunnie Rose books. You might want to give those a try, if you haven't already.

Just wanted to say that I love the Sookie Stackhouse series. I love the narrator as well. She embodied Sookie. The show didn't do it justice; wish I could read them all over again! ?

Charlaine Harris Sheena, thanks. I have lots of readers who reread the series once a year. If you don't enjoy rereading, I have lots of other books in print you might enjoy.

Charlaine Harris There are no plans for more Harper books right now. I would enjoy writing another one, I think, but I have quite a lot on my schedule right now; plus, the publisher would have to be willing, too.

I really loved the relationship between Gran and Sookie. Gran was quite a woman. Did you model her after anyone you knew?

Charlaine Harris Not exactly, but I've known a number of surprising older women who were tied into their community in multiple ways, but still had original characters. Gran provided Sookie with stability in the years she needed it most.
