Cheryl Peña For me, it’s almost easier to say where I don’t want to go rather than where I do want to go because there are just so many places. But right now, I’m missing Paris and Hawai’i. Would still love to go to Norway, Scotland, and see more of NYC and France. I’d love to see the Côte d’Azur.
Cheryl Peña Out of my published books, I think it would probably be Jackson Riley. We have shared interests, and he’s probably a lot like me. He’s creative and loves photography. Out of my unpublished books, it would probably be Mark. But the reason for that is that I think he would be the type to reach out. I’m too shy otherwise. :)
Cheryl Peña I'm sure I could think of one if I thought about it, but it would probably be a pretty boring mystery. My life is not full of that sort of thing. My most interesting stories are from when I worked as a photographer and my squirrel attack story (never, ever, ever feed a squirrel a honey-roasted peanut)!
Cheryl Peña Not sure I would want to do this. I love reading and visiting the different worlds while I'm in the book, but usually something bad happens...sometimes very bad. I'm not sure I want to visit the "end of the world" or whatever scenario is covered in my favorite books! (Yes, I know I'm weird).
Cheryl Peña Do something else for a while. I knit, read, or watch TV. I also do rigid heddle weaving sometimes and listen to music.
Cheryl Peña I took a nap about 30 years ago, and when I woke up, I had the title and basic premise in my head.
Cheryl Peña Read a lot. Research things you're unclear on. Have fun. Don't give up.
Cheryl Peña It combines two of my favorite subjects from school, English and art. I get to be creative with language. What could be better than that?
Cheryl Peña A sci-fi novel. It was originally conceived by my twin as an idea for a screenplay, but she passed away before she could write it. A friend suggested I write it as a novel in her honor.
Cheryl Peña I don't remember ever NOT writing, except before I actually knew how to read. Before age 4, my twin and I would draw pictures and memorize the story to each one, so I've always been creating in one way or another.
