Emily Rath Writing is very much feast or famine for me. I have another job that keeps me very busy, as well as a family and a life and two silly cats. So writing has to be flexible. I often get blocks, or my life distracts and I might not write for days...weeks. I've even gone months in the past with nary a word put to page. I just have to accept that it's natural to my process, and when the words are ready to come out, they will. I think my record after a long period of famine was one glorious day at a Panera when I cranked out 17,000 words in one sitting...yes, you read that right. It was pretty intense! Blocks are natural and I've tried to learn to embrace them rather than feel frustration. The words will come when they're ready.
Emily Rath This book is a product of a lifetime's worth of love and appreciation for the works of Austen (originals and screen adaptations)...and a global pandemic. At the start of the pandemic, I bought a kindle paperwhite and went a little crazy with my KU subscription. I was reading deep in the world of reverse harems and just kept thinking "You know...Regency would be the perfect setting for an RH..." The rest is history.
