I got the idea for the book I'm currently writing and the book that's about to be released -- BOUNDARY -- from the same place. Research. I'm always pouring through non-fiction books, historical texts and original source material -- because I'm a little crazy that way -- and they always spawn great ideas.

When I am deep into the writing of a book, I am often reluctant -- almost shy -- about sharing the details of the story. What I can tell you is this. My next novel will certainly explore the themes that form the heart of all my books, including the RELIC and BOUNDARY: the hidden truths imbedded in history, myth and legend and the way societal leaders reshape the past for their own agendas.

The best thing about being a writer is escaping to the worlds and times I've often dreamed about. I adore visiting those worlds -- like the Arctic medieval landscape of BOOKS OF EVA for example. It's the closest thing to time travel that I'll ever experience.
