Brenda Jackson In all my twenty years of writing, I've never gotten writer's block. I recall an author once saying that writer's block comes from you wanting your hero and/or heroine to do something out of character and they're putting up a fuss about it, thus shutting down your creativity. That explanation sounds good to me. I guess I try writing my hero and heroines in character. Brenda Jackson Usually my heroes are in their thirties and my heroines in their late twenties. I try writing stories that will appeal to both my younger and my more mature readers. Once in a while I'll write about an older mature hero.
