Jenni James I hope so! I've got My Pride, His Prejudice currently under contract... I've got Beauty IS the Beast, Prince Tennyson, Pride & Popularity, Beauty and the Beast (Faerie Tale Collection) all being read by producers right now. I hope to make an another announcement soon. :)
Jenni James Actually, I don't have this one on my list... We'll see. :) Didn't you love the new Disney movies? Gah.
Jenni James Goodness, I wouldn't know on this one. And I JUST barely found all these questions on here. I know, I know, I'm late to the game. I hope you had the full book and loved it.
Jenni James First off. You've got to think of this from the reader's perspective. READERS NEED BOOKS. They're desperate for them. And no writer in the world can keep up with the demands of readers. No one. I used to read a book a day. I can't write that fast. So don't think your books won't be wanted. It's impossible.
Also... fun fact: It's WAY better to write your own books than to read someone else's. So, focus. Start thinking of your own twist. Even if there's an idea that's similar to yours don't worry about it. No one will tell the story like you will. And if I was worried about all the other books out there that were similar to mine, I would've never written. I wrote fairy tales the way they should've been written. :) Fairy tales. You know where hundreds of other authors are telling the same story--with their own spin. Just jump in there and tell yours. It's worth it. I promise.
Jenni James I released Princess and the Pea last year, as well as The Ugly Princess. Currently I'm writing The Light Princess. I'm so glad you love the fairy tales.

For the modern tales, I'm developing one about The Little Mermaid--a girl on her high school swim team. :)
