Hi Emma, unfortunately I've had to shelve a sequel to Treachery. These things happen in publishing and the publisher has the final word on it. Seanán Maguire just had an excellent threat on this on Twitter.
That said, I tend to follow similar themes in most of my books and I will no doubt write more fairy books. I really love them. And one day I may return to the Realm as well. I love Jack, Jenny and co very much and would love to write about them again.
Sorry not to have better news, but thanks for letting me know.

So many of them. I love romance, and I love a good couple - Cath and Levi in Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell, Aisling and Julie in Wormwood Gate by Katherine Farmar, Acheron and Tory in Acheron by Sherrilyn Kenyon, and an oldie but a continual favorite Tevra, Hetwith & the Forest King in Claudia J Edwards' Taming the Forest King. I love a relationship of equals, where both side can be by turns both vulnerable and strong, where they are there for each other no matter what.

I would love to write one and there is a proposal in with my publisher so you never know. Hopefully one day.

Hi Erin,
at the moment I don't think there will be a sequel to The Treachery of Beautiful Things. If the publishers wanted one I'm sure I'd write it. I have some ideas and my characters tend not to leave me alone. There may be one some time in the future though. Never say never.
However, A Crack in Everything, which is the first part of a trilogy, will be out in September.

Keep at it. Write as much as you can and learn from your writing. Get criticism of your work and listen to it, learn from it. We are always learning.
