Maybe? If I write real-world war fiction, it'd probably be more from a period that I know better, like Gulf War I or Cold War-era Europe. But if the right idea pops into my head (or someone ropes me into an anthology project), it may happen in the future.

It's a helicopter-like machine with lift rotors that can tilt. Think of it as kind of like a huge drone with a cockpit.

I'd like to think so because there aren't too many people with that name, and I'm the only one with any SF notoriety. It could be a coincidence. But I do have fans in the genre who are in the film/TV/gaming industry (it's how I got roped into Love Death + Robots), so who knows?
Marko Kloos
Thanks! The next one, DESCENT, will be out early next year.

(view spoiler)[Deep into Points of Impact, and it's been interesting to see the weight of war show on Andrew and the entire fleet. You elude to Andrew's time in the Lazarus Brigade; I'd love to see a novella that covers that, any plans? (hide spoiler)]
Marko Kloos
Yes, a novella covering Andrew's stint with the Brigades is in the works.
Marko Kloos
Yes, there will be a fourth book called DESCENT. This year is all about more Frontlines releases, so DESCENT will probably have a release early next year. Glad you're enjoying the series!
Marko Kloos
I'm really bad at estimating series length (Frontlines was supposed to be a trilogy and is now going to be 8 books), so I can't tell you for sure. But I can tell you there will be a fourth novel out next year, and most likely there will be a fifth.

(view spoiler)[After reading every book of the Frontlines series I must ask: where are the Chinese space forces? they had a minor presence in the beginning but in the last few ones you barely mentioned them.
However, I am in love with this series, it made me enjoy the lockdown days :) (hide spoiler)]

They usually operate separately from the Russian component of the SRA, and Andrew had more to do with those because of Dmitry, so I haven't had a chance to really put them center stage. Thanks for the kind words!
Marko Kloos
Oh, there definitely is more to him than what Andrew sees. He would make a great character for a novella.

I am writing Frontlines 8 in the first few months of this year (aiming to be done by late spring), which would put the release in early 2022. After that, I have plans for at least one more...in this story arc. We'll see what the world looks like when I am done with that.

I don't have any direct input over the Audible productions other than pronunciation guides and so on. It all depends on production schedules, but I've been lucky to get Luke Daniels for all my novels so far.
Marko Kloos
Yes, he was from America's Mitten.

Frontlines #7 (Orders of Battle) will be the last Frontlines novel that's currently under contract. Chances are good they'll want more, though, and I've planned for two more after Orders of Battle.

The next book in the Palladium Wars series will be out in July next year, and it will be called BALLISTIC.
Marko Kloos
I would be open to doing a Q&A, sure.
Marko Kloos
I'm writing Frontlines #7 next, so it should be out by late summer/fall next year. But stay tuned for some more Frontlines novellas, which will be out before then.
Marko Kloos
I'll be writing Frontlines #7 in the second half of this year. If all goes well, it will be out by late summer/fall of next year. But I plan to release several Frontlines novellas in the meantime to get people back into the world and provide some more backstory.
Your country is very pretty! I have only seen it from the air (stopped over in Keflavik twice), but I want to come and visit someday soon, maybe in the winter when the tourists are fewer.

Just liked to add a second shoutout for all the Iceland stuff in Orders of Battle, great descriptions and usage of the alien and barren landscape here

No, but I have a blog at MarkoKloos.com. It cross-posts to Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ, though.
Marko Kloos
Probably not. I have a tentative outline for three more books. Thanks for the question, and thank you for the compliments!

I had some help with the physics stuff, but all the military stuff is out of my own head and drawn from my service time and research.
