Robin Rowles The fictional world of 'The Magic Faraway Tree' by Blyton, Enid, would be a wonderful adventure. I'd make friends with Jo, Bessie and Fanny. Then I'd climb the Faraway Tree and meet some of those marvellous characters, who live there (the Saucepan Man, Moon-Face, and Silky the fairy, etc). Finally, I'd climb up through the clouds at the top of the Faraway Tree and magically find myself in the 'Land of Do-As-You-Please' or some other 'Fantasy Land'. No doubt we'd all have a marvellous and fantastic time there!

Robin Rowles No! I'm sorry, but I'm not personally interested in 'horror stories'.
Robin Rowles That's a very interesting question! In 1961, when I was 7-years-old, I found a very young bird (it still didn't have any proper feathers) that was 'squeaking' underneath its nest. I discovered that the bird's nest was very badly damaged, and obviously abandoned. I carefully took hold of the young bird, and took it home, and looked after it! How could I just leave it there?
He lived in my Dad's shed, in a comfy shoe box, and I called him William. Indeed, all my family loved him! It was a lovely surprise when we discovered that William was a beautiful song thrush. One morning, I went to feed him as usual, and I discovered that he was gone! It was a difficult moment, especially for me! William had ventured into another, natural world!
So, the mystery for me will always be... what happened to dear William?
I still treasure a picture I have of him, sitting contentedly on my hand!
I hope he had a happy life, and a successful family of his own!
But of course, I have always cherished my memories of William.
Robin Rowles Hello. That's a very interesting question. I really like Mr and Mrs Brown in the Paddington Bear adventure stories. They are very practical characters who believe in good (some say old-fashioned) family tradition and values.
I also like them because they have a really good sense of fun and humor - that's really important when you have a fantastic and unpredictable character like Paddington living in the house!
Thanks very much for your question. Happy reading!
Robin Rowles Hi Little. Thank you. I have just updated My Blog to answer your question:
It's now planned for the end of September 2014.
Best wishes,
Robin.
Robin Rowles I find that I have to be in the right frame of mood to create my writing. I believe that I have natural imagination which helps me enormously with my writing. To express my own thought's on writer's block, in simple terms; no ideas, then no writing!
Robin Rowles I love the opportunity to express myself through my desire and love of writing.
I find it very rewarding when I receive positive feedback from my readers. I live in a beautiful countryside setting in Wiltshire, England. I can step out into my garden and listen to skylarks singing! It's an ideal location for freeing-up my mind, and forming pleasant ideas for my writing.
Robin Rowles Follow your dreams and work hard. Express yourself through your love of writing. Always try and be respectful to your readers. Be prepared to learn from and respect the work of other fellow authors. Support each other. Love what you do!
Robin Rowles I'm currently working on my next children's book, "The Mystery on Lighthouse Island" - It's a summer school holidays story, which is set in the year of 1964. Four children encounter a roller-coaster of excitement and adventures, which proves to be challenging and most rewarding!
Robin Rowles My inspiration comes from my love of reading children's books, especially those written by my favorite author Enid Blyton. I'm currently finding lots of inspiration and enthusiasm from reading new books, primarily by self published authors.
Robin Rowles I wanted to bring some characters in my children's book to life! The idea actually transpires from a memory in my childhood days, when I read the inspiring story of "The Adventures of Pinocchio" by Carlo Collodi.
